When we lived at Holiday Island, from time to time we would. drive to Shell Knob to shop at the Harter House. They made excellent Chicken Kiev, Chicken Cordon Blue, and Chicken Oscar rolls. I can make any of those, but they are tedious and once in a while I want a break.
Not Your Mother's Meatloaf with sauteed spinach. Nancy test drove an Irish style soda bread we are prepping for a cooking demo. Really good stuff! Daughter volunteered to take home the meatloaf remainder. No compliment better than that.
The green are beans slow cooked down in chopped tomatoes with olive oil, garlic, and seven spice. The other are cabbage rolls, Lebanese home style: long, slender, no tucked ends.
Last night I made Marcella Hazan's minestrone alla Romagnola. Should have taken a picture. Best vegetable soup in the world.
Lots of knife work involved, and a long cook time (unattended). I started in a pot on the stove, then transferred all to the slow cooker for the 3 hour+ simmer. It did not turn mushy. Served it with ciabata and garlic herb butter.
The link has the recipe, but the picture does not look like mine did. The picture looks muddy. I wonder what they did?

I find it ironic that Kings river fish go into Bull Shoals, the nationally known walleye lake of Arkansas/Missouri. Now that I am gone, I do not mind others learning that Table Rock is one fine walleye fishery.
