Hope the hunters take plenty this year, saw three on the road from nixa to kimberling last mon, reather see a hunter fill his tag then get hit by a auto.. Taken out of few myself car vs deer, scared the heck out of me.
I met a real nice older gentlemen at the Aunts creek ramp on Table Rock yesterday, he told me to GO HOME. He was in a old truck pulling a tin rig. He passed me on the ramp . I was droping my wife off at the ramp so she could take one of the last rides on her JETSKI. I am a family man first bass fishing second. We own a jetski and a Fish n ski boat so we can enjoy the lake all year. I have never met so many rude people this year, Boaters, Jetskiers, Tubers, and Fishermen who think they own all the water. You think we could all just get along and enjoy the awesome Table Rock LAKE?? To the older guy, We will be on the water anytime we can go. Mabey it is you and your bad attude that should stay HOME..
8.1 for me. Caught in the high water in April of 2008. Black buzzbait by a telephone pole close to 86 bridge. Too a pic and back in the water she went. I have a 6.5 on the wall at home from T rock back in 93 or 94, my bigest at the time...
Any chance we all could just get along? I have a fish n ski, my daughter has a jetski. I have spent the last 35 years on the rock, have seen a lot of change. In the old days dad took me fishing in the morning, then when it got hot we broke out the water skis and tubes. I can understand the big boat problem with the wakes, does cause a problem but I just roll with it. The lakes our more crowded, everybody has a right to be there.. I will be fishing on sat morning, rest of family will be down sat afternoon, glad to put the rods in the rodbox and pull out the skis and take the family skiing..
Has been a different year for me catching fish. It is like I get on them or not. Been fishing the rock for 35 years, hope to fish it 35 more.. My first fish of year back on march 1 was a walley on the a-rig...Anything goes I guess... I will ask wife about buying more tackle to be left in boat - ha - ha..
Yep ned rig, split shot two different rigs. I fished in the rain last wed caught a few on the spinner bait. Was a great day until I looked down to find my tackle bag only to find it gone. Only tackle I had was what I had tied on my rods. I did ok right up to the point that I lost my spinner bait, broke of on a cable and drop in ten foot of water. Made it back home to find my tackle bag sitting in my garage right where I left it.. Glad I found the tackle bag ...
I will back out next week, put on some splt shot and try the ned rig. I do like to toss the spinner bait in short water, but I only catch SB fish in clouds ,wind ,rain...THANKS.. PS someone inform me when the MEEKS tour will be going on next year. Aunts creek most of time not busy on WED, big surprize when I saw 90 boats on ramp... Hope everybody did better then I did...
I had a great week on the ROCK last week, this week was bad for me. With cloud cover and wind I can catch a few, but yesterday was High skys, just picked up a few shorts. Any tips on fishing high skys and warm temp???
I had my best day in five years at the ROCK yesterday. Fished Aunts to Baxter. Clouds and wind all morning, Spinner bait was working, never got the grub rob out of box. Ended up with 25 and 4 keepers, not bad for three hours. When the sun came out it was all over for the spinner bait. My best days fishing on the rock have always been in bad weather..
I put in at Aunts creek last week, as driving by the entrance I happened to notice the post on both sides of road. Is the core going to block off this ramp?? Did here it might close after campground close for the year.. Any word on this?? And what ramps will be open??? THANKS
I was down at Cape yesterday, was still a dirty brown trees brush floating allover. Water was 63. High skys no wind, just like fishing in the dead sea. A few short bass and short crappie. Also bustead my 30 year old crappie rod, not a good day for me. First time at cape fair for me in a while looks like they have gone big time with there docks...
WE were down at Aunts creek ramp on Sat, what a mess. With the water being high the south ramp was still closed. Was doing the family thing so no fishing just pulling the kid on skis. We got to the ramp at 9 am boats and trailers all over, I thought this can not be good. I had to park by the upper bathrooms. THere was a bass tour going on I noticed, so we left at 1 pm. Lots of ski boats headed to the ramp as we left, glads we left when we did. Would like to see the core drop the water so the south ramp could open back up, would help my blood pressure for sure- ha ha. Lots of boat ramp storys on days like sat....
Count me in on the zero crowd. Point ten area, not a bite yesterday. Not to rain on anyones parade. Just glad to be back on the water. Put in at Auntscreek ramp. Has not been a good year for me at T rock...
Any word on the Mo Lakes bass Club benefit tournament schedule for May 7th on Table Rock? I guess it is canceld or our they trying to reschedule it?? I am looking for info on a refund of entry or date of reschedule, Thanks..
I drove by aunts creek yesterday, both ramps closed. Water was up in the campground. I did see one truck and trailer, I guess he put in off the road?? Way to dangerous.. Also drove by Kimberling city bridge, water almost going over road on sw side..
