  1. So now you’re stealing pics from Facebook and passing them as your own?
  2. That was my first thought. If the dude wrote a letter for everyone to read, why not just post the letter??? What’s with all the secrecy??
  3. Stockers will change the genetics of the wild trout? Seriously? Pedator fish? Is there not a population of smallmouth and largemouth there already? Tell your buddy there is no overnight fix. He most likely won’t see it again in his life time the way it was. Show him how to tie smallmouth flies. It’s the only quick fix.
  4. Well I cheated a bit and used a store bought filling. But if you’ve never had mincemeat, recipes vary, but most have a very earthy, cinnamon, nutmeg aroma and flavor. It’s mostly fruit such as apples and raisins and such. And it does have meat in it. Some recipes call for suet other have actual meat. Very fine meat not large pieces. But you could have it however you want. I highly recommend the brand pictured here if you don’t want to go to the trouble of making by scratch.
  5. I’m not much of a pie maker. I’m not much of a pie eater either. Don’t get me wrong, I love pie, I just don’t eat a lot of it. I don’t eat a lot of any sweets really. And again, I love them. I’ve made a couple of pies over the years. Cherry and Apple mostly. But really, my all time favorite ever in the world is Mincemeat. You just can’t have a better autumn/winter pie. My grandma Nina, my dads mom, used to make one every Christmas. I think I shocked a lot of adults when a small child went bonkers for mincemeat pie. Hell, there are not a lot of adults that like it. So it’s been a few years since I’ve had one. And after a few years of telling myself I was going to make me one, I did! Eating this pie takes me back many years. The smell. The taste. The memories. Ronada is not really a fan of this pie. And tonight as I was eating another slice after dinner, I said, “ya know honey, I’m kind of sad that you don’t like this pie, but I’m really glad too”. And she said, “Why? So you can eat the whole thing?” And I just looked at her, smiled great big and said “You do love me don’t you!”
  6. Jeeze! 26 and still just a junior. Yeah, I’d quit too. 🤣🤣
  7. Actually, being a train engineer requires a Federal License. And they don’t hand those out to self taught Google masters.
  8. I think we are done here.
  9. Didn’t you attend an institute to be a boat mechanic?
  10. Cabela’s was never in financial difficulty. What it was some over zealous shareholders who found more value in selling it off in parts. Which would have killed the brand but made them extremely rich. And in a very short period of time.
  11. Sometimes the simplest is the best!
  12. I figured that out and was typing as you posted this.
  13. Oh! Details!! Yes of course. Well, real cacciatore has white wine, tomato sauce, tomato paste. No cheese either. You fry the chicken, then bake it. I took the Chief Shortcut. You will need: Chicken - breast or thigh 1 green pepper and onion sliced 1-2 clove Garlic minced Favorite spaghetti sauce 1 can fire roasted tomatoes, do not drain Mozzarella cheese Italian seasoning Season chicken really well with S&P Fry in olive oil, but any oil will do When golden brown on both sides, remove. Add onions and peppers to skillet and sauté. When done, add garlic and Italian seasoning. Cook about 1 minute add about 1/2 cup spaghetti sauce and fire roasted tomatoes. Then add chicken back to skillet and top with cheese. El doneo. I put this on fettuccine.
  14. Deets??
  15. I did my own version of chicken cacciatore. Wife was really impressed. I liked it too. ***Note to self. Use regular size plates.***
  16. I need to start proofreading! Wouldn’t was the key word here!
  17. If she’d use shorter pots, she would need a step stool. 🤣🤣
  18. It happens. Ive done it too.
  19. Glad to see you back in here.
  20. Which one? 😛
  21. Ooooooh! I love that song!!
  22. Two things come to mind. First, it used to be the mantra that if you come to our country you have to embrace our traditions. Which by the way, all of our traditions are a hodgepodge of traditions brought from other countries, with the few exceptions. But secondly, and most importantly, if you spent half as much time and the extraordinary effort into trolling on the lake as you spend here every day, you’d be one heck of a fisherman.
  23. That’s what you said about Nov 4.
  24. That had more to do with your choice of women than it did with your brilliant psychoanalysis.
