  1. Are you in the market for some lefty bait casters?????
  2. Get out and enjoy the beauty of nature.
  3. Very cool smallie!!!! Thanks for posting a Friday Foto. I as out of pocket and not able too. I should resume this Friday. And look for the cool pics via the text!
  4. I have wondered if it isn't the skill that gets in way sometimes????
  5. Did you enter???
  6. Curious what you got for them?? My latest Trapper mag says select darks should bring $100 or more this year.
  7. Just a reminder, daughters like to fish too. Get them out any time you can.
  8. Right on Al. That is everything I would like to have said but didn't know how. That is just about as informitive as you can be and still keep it basic. Very good job!
  9. I just read it and thought it was very well written. There is a wealth of information that could fill a book you packed into that and I know that it came from years of experience. Well done my friend. Hey, and when you become a well known writer for national mags, which you are well on your way!, can I tell people that you once owned the canoe I have?????
  10. I knew it was coming. I am afraid to say, I think we are about to loose another iconic being that is unique to the Ozarks. And tanvat, you may also add that since the 80's, there has been huge rual development. Everybody wants to live in the country but, still work in town. Think septic. And you can't have pretty grass without fertilizer. Lots of fertilizer.
  11. I always thought you were better class than that.
  12. I don't think I can agree with that Justin. That just has a very bad smell to me.
  13. You have one hell of a fishing/hunting/life partner there my friend! She is just plain ol' Ozark tuff!! You guy's have earned the right to fish/hunt/see the US as you see fit! You both are an inspiration to all! How awesome! I had an grandfather and aunt and my wife's father both lost their fight to this....I have no kind words....disease! We also have another forum member that his wife is now having the same fight and I pray that they win too! I would love to take the both of you on a float some day if you would like too.
  14. I would venture to say that it will be all spelled with the printing of the revised Wildlife Code book that will hit the stores in late Feb.
  15. That is absolutely priceless! And hell yes you are one lucky man! And so is she! Cancer of any kind sucks!!! Congradulations to both of you!!!!
  16. Freaking sweet stuff there smallie!!! I would love to get in on some of that action!!! Pay no attention to OTF, go Cards!!!!
  17. That is a super great pic! It says so much!!!!!
  18. Keeping along that line that troutman set, here an early morning sunrise over Grand Lake a few years ago. I sure do miss this place. Ohhhh the memories!
  19. So is Google. If you get caught.
  20. And you shouldn't. You run an entertainment business, not a daycare center. You have no control over the actions of your clients. I would like to brainstorm with you though on a way to eliminate or greatly reduce the litter. Maybe we could develope something that could be adopted state wide?????? PM if you like and we'll get started. I already have some thoughts to start with.
  21. I would hit Crane just on the fact that Capp's has not had a stocking since early last March.
  22. And that number will be miniscule when compared to the total number of fishmen in the state. And you are proposing spending even more tax money, relatively speaking, at a program that the only real benefit is to pump the numbers of fish caught for the few dedicated trout fishing folk. So what we need are the numbers on whether the number of trout permits purchased have increased since the winter stocking program was initiated. I am sure that the local bait shops have enjoyed the increased patronage at any rate. Just another way to look at it.
  23. I'd wait until November. About the 2 week or so. It hasn't been stocked since March. You can still find a few here and there but you chances will greatly improve if you wait.
  24. Since Coldwater like the ol' slab from last week, I thought I would put this oldie on too. This is the last one that I know of that spans Flat Creek. At least it was still there about 3 years ago. I need to get back to this spot as it is a hot bed for Goggle eye!
  25. Bad idea. If you wrapped it Rhino Bedliner, it would still be as loud as a mother-in-law! You just can't shut either one of them up! If all you were going to do was some catfishing or duck hunting, I would be ok with it. But I don't think that is all you will be doing. Just me when I tell you, and so will everyone else, stay away from aluminum.
