  1. Let me clarify a little something for you. And I should have made it clear from the onset but didn't and that is my fault. I shouldn't have made the statement that the WHOLE paddlefish stocking is completely paid for with federal funds. That stocking which pertains to stocking of the Osage River which is now underneath Truman lake is paid for with federal funds. I'll have to see if I can find out the percentages.
  2. Me too brother!
  3. Bwahahahah! Whacky rig bwaahahah! That is so 2014!! Get with it man! It's Ned or nothing now. And welcome aboard Frank. Pay no attention to me. Nobody else does.
  4. Where'd you get that she passed?
  5. Next time I make it, I'll post up some pics and info. I like the whole "no rules" like you said. Only the French follow the rules!
  6. I've got a version I call "Gumbolaya". I have a great Spanish Rice recipe that I use as a base and add all the common ingredients from both and it's just a little thicker than most. Is it authentic? Not really. Do I like it? Oh you bet!!!
  7. So does the Dove!
  8. I have forgot before and fished a couple of times. Not intentional but still glad I didn't have do some explaining.
  9. Well for snows you can go unplugged. "The Conservation Order for light geese will be in effect from Feb. 1 to April 30 with no bag limit. Hunters may use electronic calls and unplugged shotguns, and shoot from ½ hour before sunrise to ½ hour after sunset. A Conservation Order Permit is the only permit required for residents & nonresidents during this time" How does the agent know if Johnny didn't catch all of them? That is the whole point of the rule. Not to know if Scotty can count or not.
  10. For someone that has multiple biology degree's and is a avid waterfowler, I would think you would be the last to question the three shot rule. I'm surprised you didn't toss non toxic shot in too. If in a boat and checked by an agent, if your fish aren't seperated, how does one ascertain who's fish belong to who?
  11. Noel to 43 ain't bad during that time. You shouldn't have to drag either. There could be a couple of spots you might but I think you'll be ok. There are some decent gravel bars for camping but it's not really that long of a float. Be sure to pack some catfish ing rods. It's chocked full of channel! If you do camp, they would make a delicious campfire meal. There is a high bluff that will be on your left(south)side that has great gravel bar and is about half way. I don't know the land owner so I can't comment on what his thoughts would be on you being his guest. Keep a low fire.
  12. It's not stupid at all. And yes people get cited for it. It's to keep poaching to a minimum. No you don't have to wait until midnight to make a cast. You can C&R until your heart is content. But you can't keep your own limit if someone gave you a limit too. That's two limits in one day. Now if you are catching your limit and while still on said waters someone gives you theirs, you would be in violation. And no a boat with one live well and two fishermen is not illegal. You simply keep your fish seperated and labeled. It's as simple as putting them on a stringer or by inserting something to make two compartments.
  13. Ness Here as a very quick and easy Pizza made with a burrito size tortilla shell. Five minutes prep 10 minutes in a toaster oven and you're done!
  14. Whoa!!! We stand to loose $20m!!!! Don't take my money!!!! But he sure didn't have a problem taking money from the MDC!!! But this does sound like a fair bill. Might add Trust and Holding companies too.
  15. Actually the MDC is in discussion about simplifing the fishing regs. From what I am hearing, I don't think the MSA is going to be happy. Sorry to hear about the stringer incident. But there are very good reasons for it no matter how much our local G-man haters feel.
  16. So he just admitted that he has no clue about anything about the MDC, he just started slinging bills?? Its getting smellier!!
  17. Even the regs they do have they don't follow. We discussed that here last year here. Whats her name from the St. Louis paper was here and involved in the discussion too. Hope she come back.
  18. I agree 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000%
  19. Not sure what all the hostility is about but...... In the heat of a dove hunt??
  20. There is a huge difference between dove hunting and deer hunting. And a huge difference between shotguns and rifles.
  21. Actually what you are complaining about is because of the success of the MDC. The MDC also offers many many areas of excellent waterfowl hunting that do not require being drawn to hunt it. But some people prefer the easier hunts. I'm a bit perplexed as to how the agent was to know that you were fully licensed. Was he supposed to wait until you were done hunting and may have possibly illegally killed your limit of birds? Or maybe more than your limit?
  22. Whoa down there you two!! If there is any dating with strip pits, it's gonna be a threesome!!
  23. They publish a list of the amounts payed to each county yearly. One would have thought the State Rep would have been aware of that. It makes one pause and wonder just how much our leaders really know about the agency they attack.
