I feel sorry for you... I couldnt ever ask a customer paying for a costly repair without know what actually went wrong. But somewhat understandable when your needing to get home. As for the better gas mileage it prolly has to do with newer ignition related components. Not to mention i can't forsee any carbon buildup on those valve with that many miles. So they would be closing all the way and providing better cylinder compression to combust the fuel better. This provides more horsepower and the end result moving the vehicle with less effort. Good luck with the new to you engine.

Looking To Upgrade Trolling Motor...

Dutch thanks for the input. Yeah 70lbs should be great. Do you have any preference on brand and or series? There are so many to choose from and so far i have been looking at the Motorguide Pro Series 360 Gator Mount and the Non-Pro Series. -
I have 2007 19' Tracker Pro Team 190TX Aluminum boat and i am going to upgrade my batteries and trolling motor. For batteries i am going with Interstate and i would like the trolling motor to be around 70lb thrust. The stock Motorguide works great but not enough kick for my likes. Its durable, and been through hell and never broke on me. But i need something more. I am wanting to convert it over to 24v so anyone with some information on doing so it would be greatly appreciated.

I was up there last week. First time ever... Its a great lake. A buddy and i caught some good fish. Our best 5 keepers per day averaged 16-18 lbs per day. We had 2 huge largemouth's break the hooks clean off 2 of our buzz-baits. All we saw is them swirl at the bait and they ran with it. We were fishing main lake points and flippin coves also small cuts with lots of structure.
-
I believe the wakes stir up the bait fish when a boat goes by. This is what gets the bass going. So it kinda starts a feeding frenzy.
-
I am sure we would have got a check of some sort if we would have made it back. We had prolly close to 13 lbs. 2 of the fish were smallies over 18". Now to keep the topic back on track. Sorry guys.

I agree 100% I fished the Friday Night Mill Creek Tourney (July 18th) with a friend of mine. We showed up just in time, traffic was very bad in Kimberling City. I was very thankful that we could still fish it cause the guy that runs it was putting his boat into the water as we pulled up. We ended up taking my buddies boat and once we got into the water we ran about 20 miles to our first spot. By 9:00pm we were sorting out the smaller fish in the livewell. Between the two of us we caught over 10 bass on this one certain spot. Believe it or not we were not fishing deep at all but we decided that we should get some ice because it was very humid and we were in fear for the wellness of the fish. We didn't have time to stop and buy a bag being we were running behind. So we got some ice from a local to put in the livewell. Little by little. Well its was time to make a run and the worst thing possible happens. The motor wont crank. Long story short the engine was locked up and we has several miles to go.. But we did have plenty of time as well. We didn't end up making it back in time... So once we knew that we weren't going to make it we released all the fish. If i were to guesstimate the weight we had i would have to say we were in the ballpark of 14lbs. So the moral of this story is Yes i love to compete. It's only human to have the desire to compete. But to compete only with the other Fisherman in the proper manner is the only question. So don't compete with the life of your game. Go the extra mile to make sure they are taken care of. As for ice, ask for rejuvenate or whatever you need to do.

Well then i guess you fish from the shore... I don't know about you but i like to catch and release smallies and largemouth from 30+ feet. I think everyone of us would respect your opinions much more if you were to have an intelligent response vs what your stubborn tongue has to say.

"Project Healing" - Is so correct it isn't even funny. It is so FAR From TRL you will be so lost if you try the same tactics. All i can say is go to the local tackle shop and talk to the creator of the spoons that Kelly Jordan uses. I was down at LF last year and spent several hours speaking with this man. He told us all about Kelly Jordan and how he was just a little kid coming in there to pick up the "hot" bait for the time. The spoons were a hit last year but i could imagine the fish know the lure by now. And boy they weren't the cheapest spoon i have ever purchased. About $10.00 each. I learned a few things fishing LF; Find Hydrilla and fish through it, Watch where you run your boat, and look for the flats out in the middle of the lake. There are a couple. But one in particular is fairly large and normally in about 5 ft of water and a ton of timber/standing trees. A buddy of mine picked up 3 really nice large mouths. Two of them close to 8lbs. And believe it or not we were throwing DD22's and ripping them through the shallow water. To the point you have to clean the bill of the CB off before every cast. It was a blast, but defiantly a challenge. Good Luck.

Did they come up after the spoon? Always hit it when dropping. If this is what you mean. And OR yeah they all got in the boat. I normally have great luck with spoons on TR. Didnt know that they would work well with overcast and in the morning. But i found out that they do. Yeah we were vertical jigging the spoons.
-
Well went down to Kimberling area this morning. Got there around 7am and fished 15-25 ft shorlines and the back of a few coves for a little bit. Nothing.. I ran a few jigs and ended up watching them bust on the water so i threw a chatter bait and still no action. So we went straight to indian point area to a few deep docks 40-60 FT and boy what a turn around. A buddy and I caught a mix of Kentucky and Large mouths. 6 total keepers and 7 white bass. The whites were all over 3 lbs. They all were caught on a spoon. This all happened in a matter of two hours or so when there was still an overcast with no wind. Afterall it was a good day and what a good fight they put up!

Well guys i have been really busy. Thanks for all the input. I got a jackplate last week and installed it. I went out on the water to do some fishing and i did mess with it a littl bit and i got it to reach the speed of 46.9 m.p.h on my garmin gps. The boat does feel more stable now. I do feel as if i can get more out of it with more time. I only made 4 small adjustments going up. I have been keeping an eye on the water pressure and all is well. As for how much more i can get out of it i dont know. Someone had asked how often do i run W.O.T. Well 90 % of the time i run W.O.T cause i am constantly moving from one spot to another. I cover a lot of water and i do fish quite a few tournaments. Some of them are in my friends boat (19' Triton with a 200 merc.) We got his boat pretty well tuned with his jackplate and prop setup. It runs right at 68-70 mph on a GPS. Maintains great pressure and now blowout.. I plan on taking my boat out this weekend or next week and i will mess with the jackplate some more. Thanks.

Boat, Trailer, Lowrance Fish/Depth Finder, MotorGuide Trolling motor.. Package deal... $14,995.00 O.B.O Alright.... It has to go! I am willing to loose $2,800.00 now... This is the lowest price i can even allow myself to accept. I have had a few things come up and i need to sell my pride and joy. I fished this great boat only a good two handful of times. I have made two payments and going on my third. Its a great boat, very soild, stable, and it sure does get up and go. If you want a quality, durable, like brand new, enjoyable boat then this is it. Out the door at Bass Pro with the 90HP engine you will end up paying a little more than $17,800.00... So get it while it lasts. I would be glad to take the buyer out on any lake such as Tanney, Tablerock, Pomme, Stockton etc...

I havent fished the rock in about a week or so after the climate shock we had last week but i would definatly try the coves where freshwater runs in the back of them. Jigs, and worms should do well. From what i know and have heard keep the bait moving slow and bounce the bottom. Secondary points may be a good idea as well.
-
Well i got on the lake around 4:30pm (a little later than i would have liked) but had a great time. I had a good friend of mine with me and we caught 5 shorts and 3 keepers before 7pm. My first keeper was a 21" and close to 6 lbs. They were moving really slow but hitting really hard. All i can say is that the sun was out and we were using a bright bait. We were pre-fishing and setting our plan of action for this weekend's Bass Anglers tournament. I do have one picture of the first keeper i caught but it was taken from my cell phone and it doesn't really do justice... As i had this one on my friend had one as well. A few minutes after this keeper i had a "PIG" hooked and almost had it until it broke off... It was a great fight but a mistake on my behalf by being to agressive. Lack of Patients was the culprit. Well anyone else on here fishing the tournament?

Well guys i appreciate the input. I was tracking my M.P.H via my speedometer that came with the boat. So does anyone have any suggestions to go either the jack plate route or the prop? I really do believe i will go the jack plate route but it will be a manual. Anyone please feel free to chime in. All suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

Hello everyone. I have been watching this forum for quite some time now but just registered. Before i ask any questions i would like to thank everyone for such great information that is on this fourm. Anyway my question(s) is/are i am wanting to get more out of my setup. My boat is a 2007 Tracker Pro Team 190 TX with a Mercury 2 stroke 90HP. I have had it out on the water only a handfull of times and i have noticed that it get out of the hole fast and easily but the top speed is 45-46 MPH and there is turbulance/air pocket(s) right behind the boat. So should i get a jackplate and a prop or just one of them. I would like to see if somehow i could get the boat to hold at least 50 mph or as much as it can put out. Any input of brands, types and or places to purchase would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
