Ok I would say it is muddy with the rain we've had. It is up 3 feet but they are running plenty of water. oneshot

You know I always figure I would catch more Suckers in the river if there wasn't so much Gigging but I look back at where I use to live they would shoot Turkeys every day from March 1 until the season ended didn't matter if it was Tom or Hen. Well they killed all the Turkeys there and quit. Now they are starting to move back in. I'm thinking if these guys kill most the Suckers it will get where it isn't worth their time and the Suckers will come back. oneshot

It was exciting, big 18/60 and my wife was hanging on. We went through a place slow one time and found there was trees, went by there when water was down, it looked like a big Brush Pile. I think the only way to go on plane is find the Channel on Finder, plot it on GPS and hope for the best. Seen a Guy knocked a hole in his Boat, got it to the Ramp and it sunk there. People were not happy with him. Should be nice. We have a Cabin close as we can get to the Lake, would be living there if my wife wasn't working in Lebanon. I like the Lake, if your wanting to play you should be good out in the deeper water. Fishing is great, plenty of Timber and Rocky areas. I like fishing in the Coves and around Bridges. I really like Warsaw. Clinton is ok it has Everharts and Catfishing is good up there. oneshot

I'm surprised talked with our Exterminator about Bed Bugs being Retired we like to get away every so often and getting where we just soon get a room as Camping and he said Branson is fairly safe because they do their best to not have this problem. Can't afford a Camper so thinking of reconsidering our Tent and Cots. oneshot

I can not ever remember being on the Lake and not thumping a tree. You might think your safe in the channel then hit something. Some places I knew well and would bring the Boat on plane scare the something out of my wife but she was in the boat with me one time when I had it on its side. LOL oneshot

Think back then with levees and Sand Bagging there was still gaps where water was backing into the Bottoms. To me it was always a joke trying to build up along the levees. I miss the old days when product was moved all over the country by any means. Trucking Companies were always against the Rail Roads now there is several Trailers being moved by what Rail Roads are left. Use to love setting in Boonville watching the Barges on the River and the Trains running along it. I know things change I also miss Steam Engines and a Vehicle the normal person could repair. oneshot

Ok I've caught many Common Carp and have found the Smaller ones put up much more of a fight. oneshot -
Ok in '93 I helped evacuate the Missouri Bottoms. That flood was all coming from upriver, it was a freak as far as floods go. Most the time before floods were started local at that time the Local Creeks and Rivers were not up. After the water went down lots of the Bottoms would be unfarmable for years below many feet of sand. After that the river was changed by COE to better the Fishing and Flood Control. This is kind of like what my wife is always telling me why change something already working. Me and my wife are both now working with FEMA and we are always seeing the same problem. oneshot

Ok first I will not denie a Carp don't fight but they are hard to fix to eat. I fish and Hunt to eat meat so I go with the easier. I would rather catch Suckers over anything, then Catfish, then Crappie and Bluegill. Use to go Snagging for Spoonbill but found I really don't care for eating them. oneshot -

I caught my largest Redhorse last year, didn't weigh it but it was Big. oneshot -
Ok anymore I just can't remember where I am. GPS helps in my Pickup, GPS helps me find my Pickup out hunting. Have my wife on Speed Dial if I'm shopping and forget which store I'm in or how to get there. This is a New thing, last couple years. They told me to play Digital Games to help my mind work. Oh I start Typing and forget what I was going to say, very aggravating. oneshot

The Common was weighed on Certified Scales, because I was paying to fish for it. The Buffalo was weighed with Digital. oneshot -
Ok in Cold water Rivers I rather catch Suckers and Goggle Eye than Trout but around here Trout are the Big Money Maker. Otters the MDC told me when they was being released that their numbers would never be Trapable they were just a Novelty. Feral Hogs are not Russian Hog Cross. Regular Hogs will revert back to their Wild State in 6 months, Chipmunk Marked Piglets and Crazy Course Hair. I have hunted Both Feral Hogs and True Russian Boar in Austria. They are both very different. Carp were released after so many streams became polluted to furnish Fresh Fish. Use to be many setting out Lines would Bait for Catfish and Carp. Use to see Carp in Meat Department in the Store. I probably never will hunt Missouri Elk, for several years it will be about money. oneshot

Next to last time I went Snagging my Brother in Law says Rosco. I say no. Woke up opening morning it was raining, called my Brother in Law, told him I wasn't getting out in the rain, went back to bed. He calls up later says it might quit by the time I get over there. I eat Breakfast and went. Get over there, such a line. I told him forget it we're going to Osceola. Get over there, unload the Boat. I was counting on Him and His wife, seems he had invited 7 others. So we had 11Big Adults in my Boat. Start Snagging Brother in Law says it is no good here lets go on up. Get to where the Sac and Osage come together. He says nope no good. We go all the way to Rosco, no Snagging. It is raining we are all cold. Brother in Law says you Guys get warm I'll run the Boad back to the Pickup and come back. FINE! We are setting at the Café, start eating he is back. ?????? That is fast. See the Boat is pulled up about a Foot too far on the Trailer. Found out later Brother in Law had run the Boat wide open all the way back, not caring about the other Boats. Like I told my Wife never again. oneshot

We're thinking on a trip through Arkansas and into Louisiana. A yes to Oklahoma. oneshot

Well I like going on down but mostly like staying on the Main Lake, seems most Locals stay on the Lake. Yea 10 miles but it adds up . oneshot

Is it just me or is it just too crowded below the Dam when they are running water? Even in a Boat it is Wall to Wall. Plus I have to drive 1o miles one way. oneshot
-
Look at your Map all the way from Fairfield Ramp to Sapps Landing should be good there is all kinds of standing timber so take it easy. If they are running water at the Dam if you can find a place should catch Crappie on Jig fast as you can cast just find the right color. Me being Bank tied I have several places I can drive right to the water cast a Minnow out by a Tree and catch my limit. I might add White Bass and Channel Catfishing is great too. Like said before there is plenty places to stay in Warsaw. oneshot

At first I'm saying why not? Because after years the Red-Cockaded Woodpeckers have been discovered but then I think how many Doves are shot each year. Seems someone would kill one and question it. oneshot
