  1. Been laid up for last week because of a fall I took. But before I went fishing at Lead Mine caught a mess of Redhorse. Took them home cooked them up, my Son was here he said wish all fish was good eating as them. I have to agree, I get to where I can get around I'm going back down and catch a bunch more. oneshot
  2. Long line headed East today on 64HWY. oneshot
  3. They call off the search because of Holiday Boat Traffic last I heard. oneshot
  4. Ok it is same distance from my place to Lead Mine Access and Hazelgreen Access. Wanting both Redhorse Suckers and Channel Catfish, leaning more to the Suckers. The other day hooked a Channel Catfish at Lead Mine that straighten out my Hook. I have caught a few there. Went to Hazelgreen today seems the Bridges give structure but there is a Tree down by the Old Bridge. Of course the river was up today with the rain we have had. I have a 12 foot Jon with Trolling Motor or 5HP Motor, if this is needed. With this information which would be the best choice? oneshot
  5. Ok MDC Site says Good Catfishing, just wondering if this is true. Wanting to catch eating size Channel Catfish. Plus wanting to catch Redhorse Suckers. And how is Bank Fishing? oneshot
  6. Ok it has been years but fished these areas with my Sons using Chickens Livers always caught many. oneshot
  7. I have a place close to Pomme de Terre Arm. So far for fishing and Hunting is outstanding, seriously considering moving there permanent. I've always liked the Lake up by the Clinton area. Truth until more move in I can't say there is a Bad area around the Lake. I enjoy fishing the Lake and from where I am I like the Warsaw area below the Dam. oneshot
  8. Went to the river again trying to catch Suckers. Last time caught Trout, this time was catching Catfish. oneshot
  9. Caught Channel Cats at Lead Mine. oneshot
  10. Went to the river with Medium Action Rods, 12# Test Line, 3/8oz. weight, Straight Hook, Worms fishing on the Bottom. Caught my 4 Rainbows and came home. No I wasn't fishing for Trout. oneshot
  11. Anyone fish around the 83 HWY Bridge East of Fairfield Ramp? It looks like it would be good. Asking because my place is close to there. oneshot

    Trout

Got to agree with this. But know a Guy that would catch Trout at Moon Valley in the Winter and I have seen one Rainbow at Lead Mine. Have fished River Front and not caught any Trout. oneshot
  13. Not yet I tried Lead Mine with no luck. Right now I got some tress given to me so I'm busy cutting them for Firewood. So I finish them it is back to drowning worms. oneshot
  14. Been catching a few Rainbows that have been in the river awhile. Like Gig Marks and few that have broke off others Line. Well at least one fish will make me and my wife a meal. oneshot
  15. Went to the river using 10# Test Line, Fishing on the bottom, all I could catch was Trout. oneshot
  16. We didn't get the rain Springfield did. We was surprised, left Springfield it was pouring nothing at Bennett at the house. oneshot
  17. That is what I thought anyone before midnight gets caught might be in deep DOO DOO. oneshot
  18. Still cloudy and misty. Hope you have fun down the hill. oneshot
  19. The River is up a little but still fishable. oneshot
  20. I'm glad I came down here and seen this. We have truly considered selling out and Traveling but right now we have a place by Bennett Spring and a Cabin by Truman Lake by Warsaw. It is nice staying at our Home and the Cabin for short times. All paid for. We have traveled all over the U.S. back in the '80's so it isn't like we aren't doing something we haven't already done. oneshot
  21. Where is the best place to Sucker Grab from the bank? oneshot
  22. Dang we have a Cabin up there but it is well into Benton County. Really thinking we need to get Insurance on it but not sure if we can not having running water. oneshot
  23. Yes them Trailers burnt across the road from me because them Guys wanted to have a Camp Fire after it getting away from them twice last years and being told by the Law it wasn't wise this year. We left about 2PM and the fire was smoldering, they had already left and went back to Kansas City. We was just lucky because of the Trailers having to be moved the Propane Tanks had been emptied the day before. oneshot
  24. Your allowed 3 cord with MDC if you want to cut on MTNF it cost $20 for 4 Cord. oneshot
  25. No it was 3 miles from Bennett Spring. oneshot
