  1. Ok maybe I should go somewhere else with this but I live next to the Niangua River. When I was young they would take gravel out of some places and have very nice holes and always had good fishing. Then they stopped this because of the Niangua Darter. In the mean time MDC turned lose Otters. So the Big Holes filled in leaving smaller holes that the Otters just love killing every fish they can in. What I am thinking is the Niangua Darter did well for years with Gravel Mining and other fish did well. Seems to me they made it worse by having the small holes with way less fish. I'm sure someone is going to jump in and say how Bad Gravel Mining is the same as they will say how Bad burning the woods off. But do they ever think this is why this area has so many Endangered Species? oneshot
  2. Went down to the river Saturday after the rain. Messed my Back up pretty bad soon as I got down there but went fishing anyway. Was Trout Fishing with White Power Bait. Was using 6# Test Line with 3 small Split Shot. Water being up and running I wasn't catching anything. Put 3/8oz. Egg weight on caught 1 Small Rainbow, then a nice one. Was going to quit and go home but hadn't caught 4 in awhile so I caught 2 more nice ones. But river is coming up. Some were floating yesterday. Suppose to get more rain so it will be coming up more. Not sure how long I'm going to be down with my Back but it is still hurting today. oneshot

East of where you are going but I lived in Salida on the Arkansas River. Pretty good fishing right in Town and Gold Medal Fishing below the Stock Yards. Plenty of access and no Guide needed. If you drop down on 50 HWY follow the river, there is plenty of places to go in. oneshot
  18. Warming up again so couple days thinking going over on Lindley Arm catching mixed Bag of Catfish, Bass, Crappie and Bluegill. Any body been there doing any good? oneshot
  19. We finally have our Cabin pretty close to finished South West of Warsaw. Got a Big Water Tank, Toilet, T.V. A/C and all that there. I would like to have Booster for my Cell Phone and Jack for my Computer but I'll rough it and make things work. I know need to get away from this stuff but no kidding I was up there once for a few weeks and a woman in Minnesota had MHP looking for me because I hadn't been on the Internet. Warms up I'm thinking of spending weeks up there. Figure, Turkey hunt, Mushroom hunt and Fish. Been on a Work Out program at or Local YMCA found out I can work out at the Gym in Warsaw and still be with the Program. I'm sure I can find a Good Baptist Church in town. oneshot
