Yes I remember one place has Turkey Barns very close to Otterville, they sure stunk. Today we went up 5HWY all kinds of brand New Barns. I use to fish in Boonville by the Old Boys Training School. There was run off from the Orchard, Fiberboard and who knows what else. This along with many other Chemicals is one reason I have so many Health Issues now. oneshot

Thinking of going camping, hunting and fishing by Otterville this Fall I was told the river was no longer worth fishing there. Use to put out Set Lines there and did well. Just wondering what the river is like now? oneshot

They were teenagers. River was back down but getting inches of rain for days going to put it back up. I was going to go fishing but down deep I know this is what the river needs. oneshot

Went fishing up above the Dam Monday. Waste of time got two nibbles. Two other guys had same luck. Probably because the water is dropping. oneshot

Was up at our Cabin. Decided to go across the bridge on 83HWY Little Pomme Arm. Lake was all over the bottoms, could see couple Crappie Fishing out there. oneshot

MoPanfisher did you Guys get much rain going into the lake today. We didn't get much by Bennett Spring? I wish weather person will make up their mind. I was going to go Catfishing at Pomme de Terre Monday afternoon, then they was calling for rain, now they are not calling for rain. It's kind of like stick your hand out go from there. oneshot

When we first moved to this area our Daughter refused to move with us, she was 15. She still hates the way we live. This was our place out in the brush. Kick myself every time I think about us selling it. oneshot

Ah actually I have a Cabin at Truman Lake for weekends. Got it fairly cheap, working on it now expanding. Home place on the Niangua River, close to Lead Mine CA and MTWNF. 3 1/2 Acres, don't use much of it for Garden, Orchard and critters. Ok maybe not soooo Poor. oneshot

Bad not being like normal people going to the store but we're Poor raise what we can in our Garden and Orchard. Go Hunting or Fishing when we get tired of Tame Rabbit or Chicken. oneshot

Went over the river at Hermitage. River wasn't up any higher than it has been. oneshot

My wife was down at Bennett Spring Access the water was running bank full. There was 3 Kids swimming daring each other to get out in the channel. She didn't know what else to do but called authorities. By the time they showed the kids had left. She was so upset when she got home. I told her there was nothing else she could have done that she did good. oneshot

You can say what you want but in past we always dredged the gravel out keeping the holes open. Caught plenty of fish out of the holes. oneshot

Well went today after a long wait caught 4 Rainbows on PB. Most other fish I catch on Bait. Don't matter not going anywhere but the Skillet unless it's illegal. Most the time it's Catfish or Bass.I go most the time to set and relax. oneshot

We got up early to pick up Metal for our Cabin. Go by there it isn't open. I told my wife it is only 7:30 I'll bet they open at 8. So we go into town and get something to drink. Drive back there is now a sign, We Are Closed Today. We decide to go on to the Cabin, I see a build up of clouds over that way. Check Radar on Phone it is pouring over that way. So decide to go back home. Get home tell my wife there isn't anyone at the river. She asked if I wanted to go fishing? Yes might as well nothing else to do. Go down there with my Power Bait caught 4 Nice Rainbows went back home. oneshot

Know couple Guys that tried this at Bennett Spring and got caught. Years ago seen a Guy from North Missouri come back after two days fishing Taneycomo with Ice Chest full of Trout but guess this is why people no longer catch the fish they use to down there. I have luck using my Spinning Outfit with Spinners and Jigs. oneshot

I don't fish the Parks either. One that told me this is a girl that works in the Park but I had a Girl down there tell me also it was Illegal to fish for Suckers. oneshot

I would say with increase on discharge and water going down all will be slow. Best go below the Dam. oneshot

When I was young most fished for Catfish and Carp. At that time you would see Carp in the stores. We didn't waste anything, we would eat Groundhogs and Turtles. Had a Young Agent find me with a Turtle. He didn't know what to do? He had never came across anyone that intentionally killed a Turtle to eat it. oneshot

For the most part living in this area most my 60+ years it has been people not just kids from Cities like St. Louis and Kansas City on weekends doing most the destruction. They do the same here until Law Enforcement cracks down. oneshot
