Well went with a local for load of Firewood. He said there is no where close to catch Catfish close. So guess I’ll still go over to Pomme de Terre Lake. Now he is wanting to go back tomorrow morning get some more Firewood. oneshot

More water on down. Woman said her brother was catching them just down from where I fish. Got couple places on up I fish but have yet to catch a Catfish. When I lived in Lead Mine would catch one every so often. Had to laugh at some guys at Barclay they was Catfishing but catching Trout. None had a Trout permit. oneshot

Know all ponds and property owners but rather catch out of a stream. If I was staying at our Cabin all kinds of fishing on Truman Lake basically right out the door. Suckers and Goggle Eye isn’t a problem here. oneshot

Well I went ahead and subscribe to Fur Fish & Game. Seems Missouri Outdoors has went to Midwest so I’m not sure on it. Some are surprise I can read. oneshot

Right now I’m getting Outdoor Life, Field & Stream and In Fisherman. I’m quitting In Fisherman because it just not doing anything for me. I’m looking for a Magazine more towards Small Game and Bank Fishing. Seems like all the Magazines are geared to Bass Fishing and Deer Hunting. Was thinking of Fur Fish & Game even though I don’t Trap anymore. Missouri Outdoors might be ok. Larry Dablemont is getting up there in age. Was going to quit publishing but figure he likes the income. As far as MDC I have gave my two cents. They Thank me for being honest on my thoughts then went on with what they were doing. oneshot

What is funny years ago Law had Road Blocks set up. People were being arrested going in and people down on the river were scared to leave. For awhile the river was becoming the New Party Cove. I’m not sure about now. oneshot

When the Ice Storm hit in 2007 we had been setting there for days. Finally they sent people in to see if we was ok. We was two weeks with out electric. So!!! Just wait. I told them I could probably track the guy from the house. oneshot

Well we was formed because of 9/11. Supposed to be in control of all response units in our area. Thing is most if something comes up pushes us out saying they have it. We went to a fire was told by the Chief we wasn’t to be there. We told him where to go . Then provided consolation to the family. Funny in a way if there is Bad Weather we are counted on . Right now if it looks like Tornadoes headed our way during the daytime I’m to spot. If at night I’m to watch Radar and I might be there several hours. They keep basically saying we are unimportant and cut our funds going with cheaper. Then when something is needed they raise cane. Well you idiots wanted to go cheap. They found it was cheaper to have Satellite for our Radar, soon as our Radar was needed it went down. DUH What went wrong! We now are counting on Kansas City. You can not get it through to them our Fire Fighters are out for days. They are thinking structure fire most time out in a few hours. Why does your Fire Fighters need food and water? I was after them for a Drone for years. Finally we got one but it is to be shared. I can understand this and glad we have one. We use to make all the Badges. Then Law enforcement decided they were going to make their own. Fine only problem is it was a time to get to know everyone. oneshot

We go from South of St. Louis down South of us, across towards Springfield over to the Mississippi River. So we have some of the worst terrain in the state. Plus workers are to work only so many hours. So we could go anywhere in the United States. I got ahold of the office again asking if I was right calling in? They said I’m to call in every time because it is up to me to set up Command Center if needed. oneshot

Well guess they had all kinds of fun today. Had two Man Hunts going on. I was told the Highway Patrol was taking care of them. Had to laugh 20 years ago took Highway Patrol looking for a guy. Made me laugh how out of shape they was. House burnt. Neighbors Grandson was found shot and killed down from us. Then people wonder why I sleep with what I do. oneshot

Cut a bunch of Firewood today. Was told no hunting or fishing because we need Freezer space for a Hog and couple Deer. So it is burning leaves and cutting firewood, plus have to spade the garden. oneshot

I think I have been put out to pasture. They made me Chief. Then few months later I messed my shoulder up and diagnosed with Cancer. I asked if they still wanted me as Chief? Oh yes. My Job is to haul supplies and make sure operations are done right. Before I was hauling supplies, going to meetings and working security. I showed my Boss my Shoulder, he is like DANG! Then he calls me asking if there has been any change? No. Is there going to be a change? No. Since then I have not left the house. They had Truck load of supplies. Do you want me to unload it? Which is my Job. Nope we got it. I could work Security just need a different Holster. I just can’t use my left side. oneshot

My neighbor has to be the worst shot ever. Uses a shotgun with no plug. Several times have heard him over there shooting at Squirrels. Awhile ago 4 shots. I think he shot the fawn that was coming to the house. I go to Lake of the Ozark but go by Warsaw. oneshot

I got Journal of the Ozark but he puts out Lighting Ridge. Cost $20 for two years one every quarter. He lets his thoughts be known in the Magazine on the MDC and sometimes I have the same thoughts. But put this to the side the other stuff in the magazine I enjoy. oneshot

Use to be it didn’t matter the weather I would go hunting or fishing. But over the years have been told if the weather is doing this stay home. Today it is very windy. I have been told if it is windy might well not Squirrel Hunt but I’m seeing all kinds of Squirrels out running around. I have found have to adjust for what is going on. If I was to go today I would probably still hunt. I was Deer hunting one time little windy and light rain. I was on stand. Thought to myself today would be a good day to still hunt. Got a complimentary magazine from Larry Dablemot. Use to be subscribed to it but he said he was going out of business so I quit. I guess he is publishing again. I’m thinking of resubscribing. It’s not a matter how a person feels about him but I do enjoy some of the stories of the old ways. oneshot

I use to talk about the smog in Kansas City and the people that had lived there all their life thought I was full of it. Anymore I drive to Kansas City I pick up smells that are unique to the area. Takes me back to when I was a kid in the bad part of town. In Springfield one time the air stunk. They said it was Sulfur in the air because of no wind it was just hanging. oneshot
