  1. I just can't take it anymore. I am going tomorrow. I was just wondering if anyone knew how the ramps were. I would like to put in at Baxter.
  2. Yeah, what he said!
  3. Gotta ask, where did you get the fish doctors?
  4. I love the looks of the Megabass. The problem I have with the ones I own are the don't sit in the water the way I like. They almost stand on there head when paused. If you try to weight the back end the still stand on there nose but sink. Some people might like that but i gets in my head. Now last weekend the Megabass is all I could get bit on instead of the Luckycraft and Spro so go figure. And to answer your question I like the Skeleton Tennessee Shad.
  5. I drove down to Baxter this evening to check it out. The ramp still has a little smow on it in places as does the parking lot. If you had a 4wheel drive and was the first boat to put in it MIGHT be ok but I will leave that to you. I heard Old Hwy 86 was clear though. I havent heard anything about the others.
  6. Don't forget about Curt at Baxter Marine. He is a great guy and mechanic. They also own the Baxter Marina so he is probably your best bet. His # is in the book.
  7. I am not sure if your units are broken or just need upgraded but Lowrance has a good trade in program. The only thing is the unit has to broken and you can only exchange for a comparible size. It also only works if your unit is on the trade in list. I called and talked to a Lowrance customer service person and they will take my broken LCX 27 and $519 for a new HD7. Not bad for a unit that is broken and worth nothing to me if they don't fix them anymore.
  8. Nice job! I would have liked to be in a tourny with you with 22lbs. What was the water temp in those areas.
  9. Billfo, your Indians faired much better than the Indians on the other end of the lake.
  10. You might try to set your upper and lower limits to only show the depth range you are fishing. This way you can lighten up your sensitivity and still see your bait just fine.
  11. Thats some pretty heavy bags for the conditions they had. I would sure be happy with nearly 17lbs on a day like that.
  12. It might be worth packing the video camera to watch the boats being backed down the ramp if temps get as low as they are talking.
  13. Nice job Hogfan. How much would you charge to paint up some old warts?
  14. I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. This is a great forum and an excellent group of people to be apart of.
  15. CMAC that is a stud of a fish for September. This fish was very proportioned. I'll bet yours looked like it swallowed a volleyball.
  16. It doesn't show the prices on the website between the two. Anyone have any ideas on price on the series 29 TM batteries for each.
  17. She was a little over 24" long and 17 1/2" girth.
  18. On the ProGuide website they show some other battery's like Trojan. Do you guys use the regular ProGuide name or one of there other ones.
  19. My batteries went dead yesterday. I need to replace them and would like some suggestions, prices, or warranty info. thanks
  20. I just talked to my buddy who finally got off the boat. He said they gave them a couple of Silver Dollar City annual passes for the troubles. I would say there will be several on the boat that will want more that.
  21. 12lb Seagur line. I am glad no one was videoing us b/c we would be all over the internet on how NOT to land a big fish. She ran under the boat getting stuck under the big motor and stripping out about 70 feet of drag. Then when we finally got her closer to the boat when she made a run for the front deck and then back under the boat. As we were pulling her up for the last time she made one more run and got wedged on the bottom of the TM. I pulled up the TM and somehow the net got tossed in the lake and was about gone before we noticed it. After getting the net the we finally landed her. I had just knew we had lost the fish several times but somehow it all worked out in the end.
  22. Wow, I have a good friend on there. He is on a Christmas party so I just called him and sure enough he said she is beached on the rocky point on the south side of State Park Marina cove. He said they have no idea how they are going to get off due to the wind. He said there are no holes in the boat but just stuck. I hope everyone gets home safely.
  23. Had a club tourny today and man was it an awesome day on the Rock. We had 15 keepers with an absolute tank for a kicker. We caught our fish on cranks and blades. Needed wind to catch them but it wasn't hard to find. Posted some pics of her and yes she is still swimming. She weighed 8.17lbs at the weigh in. We held up a 15 1/4" fish to compare her to. My question is who does the best replica mounts around and what kind of prices are we talking?
  24. Now that I look at it I also notice you are holding the fish with your left hand in every photo taken. Whats up with that.
  25. Hey, way to go. I had a good day out Saturday also. Sounds like they are starting to bite a little.
