  1. I think you covered it well Wrench. (beer cheers emoticon) (why are there no beer cheers emoticons on this forum?) Har har SmallieFly!
  2. Thanks for the responses folks! I got way more response on this question on a hunting forum than I did here. That's puzzling.
  3. I may go to one battery with it, I just don't feel like re-wiring right now. It would definitely be nice to not have two to save space, weight and cost. So back to the charging regimen in your first post Wrench: A decent on-board does all that for me, correct? And one battery would allow a lower-cost charger as well.
  4. I thought you only fished around home and bunked your boats in the shop every night. I guess I could go with one battery, but the boat is already wired for two. Guess I could rewire it....I'll have to think about it. I pulled the batteries out and put them on a charger and the smaller motor cranking battery took a charge, so I may be able to get a season out of it anyway. The big battery for the TM and accessories is dead meat though. I do plan on adding a radio to it sometime.
  5. Thanks guys! Champ188, I've bought a boat that's already equipped with a 12-volt TM and I don't plan on changing it anytime soon. It's also just a 15-foot jon boat so space is a premium and one TM/accessory battery is all I want to deal with. It does have a smaller battery for the motor and running lights. I do want to install an on-board charger so the batteries can be tucked away yet still easily charged. Been eyeballing the AGM batteries — I like the options of mounting in any position and supposed extended life. Anybody use them?
  6. And why? How long do they last in a charge and overall battery life? What's your favorite charging system setup while we're at it too?
  7. Solid fish Chief!
  8. I knew I was doing it wrong. Trigg.
  9. What does "World Class" mean? I would suggest it's a subjective term and like a lot of things today, over-used. Also, I notice on your list Chief, that most of those records are from lakes and not streams.
  10. Sold on Ebay, thanks for looking.
  11. Do you still have the fly materials?

  12. Are you still looking for a rod?

I have a BPS Pro Finesse Rod, 2-piece, 9-foot, Medium Action, Medium Light Power, Lure weight 1/16-3/8 oz, 4-12 lb line. It's a couple years old, but is in new/mint condition, never fished with.

Is this what you're looking for?

    1. Hammer time

      Hammer time

      I found one, thanks.

      10-4, good deal.

  13. Learn something every day! Do they post that at MDC river accesses? Never heard of this before.
  14. Go info MoPan, but there's no time limit on fishing the rivers. You can fish all night if you want, but be careful of that once the snakes are out as the Cottonmouths are primarily nocturnal.
  15. Learn something everyday.... I thought it was messed up when I acquired it, but it is indeed built as intended.
  16. Rod sold on Ebay, thanks for looking. Megabass Shiryu Tomahawk F4-610GT3 This rod is in in mint, un-fished condition. This is a 1-piece 6-foot, 10-inch bait-casting rod. This is a serious rod for tournament-type anglers, and I'm just not that serious so it needs to be in the hands of someone who is. Those who like these rods covet them and they typically sell for $400-$500. It really is an exquisite piece of gear. Offering it here for $350, I'll pick up the shipping. PM if interested, thanks. This site has a lot of specs on the rod if you want more details: http://www.tackletour.com/reviewmbshiryu610.html
  17. No giggers where that fish was caught. HUGE pike in the lake.
  18. How big do you think the pike that tried to eat this guy was?
  19. Ever use a gray card to set your exposure?
  20. Good stuff that you didn't kill it IMO. I have yet to see a Rattler in the wild, copperheads and cottonmouths are another story however.
  21. Take it to Wrench. Mercury's give him a bad taste in his mouth, but he knows what to do.
  22. Saw right through me!! There some measure of truth in my statement, however. Highway goes both ways dude - but I understand, you see my pics and think "Why would I go fish with that butthead and catch little fish?" Chief is already pissed at me cause I can't find time to go goggle-eye fishing with him.........
  23. Like to soon. If only the wimmens would quit coming up with chores for me.
