My friend and I fished from sunrise until noon between chutes one and two. I believe it was the first time I have waded Taney since January. Man, it felt great. We each finished with about fifteen fish a piece. The bite wasn't real hot but no complaints here. There was no specific hot fly, fish were caught with pine squirrel, ants, cranefly, woolies, scuds, San Juans, and eggs. We went down to KOA anf fished about an hour after all of that. I was in pursuit of large browns and caught my first smallmouth bass on a flyrod. I really enjoyed the battle. I used a TNA Trout and the fish measured 16 inches.
