If you think color doesn't matter at night you're kidding yourself. I've had nights were they would only hit ONE color, and it wasn't black, blue, purple, or pbj.

I've been using a lot of 7lb Sunline as a compromise.

I use a Shimano 100 with Boca Bearing and a light crankbait rod that has lots of tip and a good backbone for shakeyhead's and ned's quite a bit. A light head and half a Zinker is over 1/4 ounce like rps said.

Guys I know it's mussels. The line was just touching the mussels, a centipede doesn't weight much at all, and it was shaving the line, actually leaving long shreds and nicks between the weight and the bait. It's impossible for it to be a guide as this part of the line wasn't going thru any. I retied and cast a couple of times to double check what I was seeing. Had the line cut on a couple of fish that hit also on a fresh setup.

It's the cove at Point 23,(?) the entire east side of the cove, back behind the docks .

So I finally got out for a little fishing Thursday. Pulled into one of my favorite spring coves on the White, I've fished for several years. Thought I'd try a little split shot rig I like to use. After a couple of cast I notice the line above my bait is absolutely SHREDDED. The zebra mussels must have taken over this cove. Is anyone else finding places they are really thick? How bad are they gonna get? Is it gonna get as bad as Dardenelle?

Campbell's Point and Big M both have restaurants but I'm pretty sure they aren't open for the season yet. I heard a rumor that Viola is also getting a restaurant.

I like it because the front end of the knot doesn't have a tag end sticking out. Was always a uni to uni tyer, been using it a couple of months and no failures yet.

I can get at least 25 in each locker of my Pantera Classic, but it cuts down on the available tackle space.. Oh and I can agree with you about the sports car, the blonde not so much.

It's great seeing all the fish posted with the reports, however I cringe every time I see a fish laying on the dry boat carpet. MLF gives a penalty just for touching the carpet, how about we try to come up with little better fish handling technique.

I fished Cow Creek all day front to back. Found the small mouth from pre-fishing were still hanging on points in the front halfs of the creek. caught two on jerkbaits and another of a wobblehead trailing a PBJ Paca Craw. Caught a nice largemouth in the back on a windy transition bank on a spinnerbait and a small spot filled out the limit, I think on a jerkbait. Water temp varied from 49 in the morning to a little over 52 later in the afternoon. Mixed bag of 16.55.Hope to see you at Truman.

Good to meet you and Dave at the rally. All our fish Saturday came out of Cow Creek. Ended up with 16.55 in fifth place I guess. Had a couple of fours in the bag but nothing that size. Congratulations.

I caught about the same number yesterday as Saturday,up the Kings, but they were all smaller.
