perhaps when you learn how to fish better you can attempt to land something bigger than this your normal fair (see pic)...perhaps you lack of current fishing prowess is why you need a scape goat "its the carp taking over" or "darn MDC isn'd doing their jobs" when the issue is all the fish dinners you have eaten.... making it tougher and tougher for you.... or others like you.... to enjoy great fishing, its why people who don't deer hunt well patrol the roads at night with a spot light and IMHO its a major reason why some people spot light fish to shoot lots easier your crankiness must be fun for the people around you

Conservation is conservation, be it water turbidity caused by boats, or any other conservation he already has.... posts of 4 of the top invasive on the ICNU list common carp-Largemouth Bass-Brown Trout-Rainbow trout...if you use the tag you must realize many favorite fish are listed invasive...commons are naturalized here over the last 140 years not invaded but stocked on purpose...as long as I get messages to help and teach, I will Funny you should say that had a call the other day from a Brit who has moved to LOZ area and is looking to buying a 9a gravel pit to turn into a carp syndicate, must have been one of the pits that they blasted rock out when they built the dam....he said it was spring fed and was looking to buy fish to get it started....I told him to sent me pics of killing out the current fish... I love fishing for all kinds of fish...hard to get into fishing for them when its so difficult to master, catching 20 or so fish in a few hours will change even a die hards life...fellows lake have a few euro guys that fish it and they usually convert a couple to fishing for them...they use a kayak and cast to fish...its a wanting to get your rod bent on those hot as hell summer days....you have crappie and white bass days....next time you have a sucky hot summer day post up here and I'd bet an other fly fisherman will be glad to share fishing for a golden bone I you could and it was legal, would you shoot a gamefish with your bow? thats IF it was legal....

I have caught bone fish... and huge bone is a small carp...bones runs are faster... but they tire faster too...Its on my list to fish beaver Island lake Mich for big carp on a fly and huge smallies its know for......pretty cool place beaver island...looks like the flats in the Bahamas.......I think it was lefty Kreh that started calling them golden bonefish

They can in SOME waters..def not EVERY water...hard to silt up a lake with very little silt....catfish and native suckers can do the same, its just not the bugga boo its made out to be...most lakes that have issues are classified as "eutrophic lake" ....typically a shallow natural lake or dug pond that has high biological productivity due to excessive nutrients, especially nitrogen and phosphorus, which can be much worse from run off from golf courses, lawns, septic leach fields, etc....these water bodies can support an abundance of aquatic plants. Usually, the water body will be dominated either by aquatic plants or algae sometimes common carp survive better than other fishes and get blamed for "over running" said lake too many carp are a symptom of a damaged water - not the cause...

I saw what I thought was a Bfer Boat lighting up the lake like a football game heading my way...though oh hell here we go again...closer it got I thought thats no boat well they tried to get ol MoCarp, just then my alarm went off and was into a nice fish.....I just handed the lil grey fellow a rod and now he's hooked....oh SNAP its on now

WOW spoon well said..I agree with you..I know that seems weird but... I have 2 walleyes that I landed on LOZ the biggest 4 walleye limit I ever caught was in LOZ...they are there just need to know how to catch them I have caught a few paddle fish..its fun having a huge fish pulling your rod down....we destroyed their spawning grounds, so we kinda need to help a bit Magazine is interesting, though kinda antiquated in this day and age, but my nephews when they where 4-5 would spend hours going over the old copies, that alone was worth my tax $ as far a quality I think they have one a few national awards I know people that work for the MDC, and they are outstanding well trained people, that do their jobs from their passion for the outdoors, they are not overpaid and work hours most people would turn up their noses.... they certainly deserve reliable transportation, when someone gets hurt in the boonies they are not getting there in a stripped down Hyundai with 200k on the odometer Wrench your just cranky...perhaps you can bid on an MDC boat contract next time, and then you can boast on how great they are.... bet you spent halloween yelling GET OFF MY LAWN!!!!! life is too short go out and have some fun...slap around a few carp anglers, pee of the front of someones boat..even eat some bass for dinner...if it makes you happy
