  2. As always....well done! Very nice photos!
  3. I have a 2001 Lowe pontoon boat with a 90hp Johnson for sale. We purchased the boat from the original owner back in July and only took it out a few times. We decided we didn't need a second boat after all and will stick with the bass boat. The boat is in excellent condition and is set up for fishing. The boat comes with the trailer and also has a new custom cover. It also has a ski tow bar, AM/FM Stereo, fish finder, trolling motor, huge aeriated livewell, 4 fishing seats, ladder, and a compass. The boat is free and clear so there's no messing with the bank. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at (479) 225-2320. I live in NW Arkansas, but make lots of trips to the Table Rock area. Asking $10,500 Thanks
  4. You guys are right about Mr. Webb. I have never spoke to him other than in passing at a weigh-in or at the ramp, but he seems to be a good guy from what I've seen. Last fall on Truman, the day before the Heartland championship, we watched him tow two older gentlemen across the lake and them proceeded to help them guide their boat on the trailer and make sure everything was secure before he left. They had some major problems and couldn't get anything to work. I know that most all of us would have done the same thing, but Mike was so encouraging and almost seemed happy to be helping. Then this summer my buddy and I were fishing a tournament on Table Rock and when we got to our first spot there was a boat sitting on it. We couldn't tell who it was from where we started fishing but the closer we got we could see it was Mike. Without hesitating he yelled from 200+ yards away and told us to come on in and fish that he wasn't in a tournment and was only out there for fun. Stand up guy for sure!
  5. Well after a year of shooting her bow in the back yard my wife finally got her first deer with her bow. After the turkey kill and now this she's getting a little cocky and talking about "putting meat on the table" so I may have to pick my bow up now and see if I can't contribute. I've been running the video camera for her all year and she's still rubbing it in???
  6. Nice job slider. Never seen the spots like that before, but would be interested to find out what causes them. My wife got her first deer with her bow this weekend and I'm going to try to post some pics tomorrow.
  7. We're headin back up to Missouri for a 3 day hunt this weekend and I couldn't be more excited! My buddy and I fished a tournament on Truman last weekend and the bucks were definitly on the move. One 8 pointer let us troll across the cove in a 20' Ranger and get within bow range before walking off. Him and another smaller buck were chasing a doe down the bank. We've been seeing a lot of bucks "dogging" does and according to my Field & Stream magazine this is the weekend to be in the woods. Any one else going to be in the woods this weekend?
  8. Awesome job Jeremy! Good luck next spring at the All American!
  9. Thank you
  10. Thanks for all the information Shaker....know what you mean about those lurkers!
  11. Thanks!
  12. Anyone know what time Fin & Feather opens during the week? Thanks
  13. Thanks for the report Shaker. We're taking off from Bucksaw both days, but we planned on fishing the lower end even before all of the rain. Do you think the trash is still going to be pretty thick come this weekend? Just wondering how difficult it will be navigating our way out of there.
  14. We're heading up to Truman this coming Thursday for the Joe Bass Team Classic on Saturday and Sunday and was wondering what the lake conditions were like. Water temp, clarity, level, ect. We haven't been up there since last October and I'm assuming with all the rain we got lately that the lake is up and probably going to stay there. Any information provided will be much appreciated.
  15. She's had them things for 5 years and never cleaned them once! She hunts probably 3 or 4 times a year but don't seem to get them dirty like I do. I don't get it... Thanks...I caught that in Spring Branch on Table Rock
  16. You're right on the money Cricket!! She actually killed the bird the night before but once we recovered the turkey it was already dark. The next morning she cleaned up....fixed her hair...put a little makeup on and then it was photo time. As long as she keeps bagging birds like that, I guess I'll let her prepare for photos however she wants.
  17. She was about 25' up in a tree. We've got 2 Loggy Bayou stands in the top of a cedar tree so I can video all of her hunts.
  18. My wife killed this turkey with her bow on October 10th in Hickory County, MO. The beard was 11" and the spurs were 1". I was very proud of her to say the least. She has always went fishing and rifle hunting with me, but just recently took up bow hunting. We haven't got a shooter buck (4 on one side in Hickory County) within bow range but it's just a matter of time. She shoots a Diamond Edge bow with Gold Tip arrows and 3 blade Muzzy broadheads.
  19. That's awesome!! Tell Mekayla job well done! It's good to see dads like you taking the time to get their daughters in the woods.
  20. Hey ecce, Great photo as always!! Do you travel north on 71 towards the MO/AR state line much? There is a beautiful tree (maple I think) on the east side of the road north of the Hwy 340/71 intersection that is bright orange right now. I've passed by it twice in the last few days but haven't had my camera with me.
  21. Awesome pics!!
  22. I myself have never tried them, but had a co-worker try them once and he didn't really care for the quality. He only gets out maybe 10 times a year and I know he's broke at least 3 of the rods. They do send you a new one with no questions asked, but I would rather go with a quality brand like falcon that is known to hold up a little better.
  23. Nice buck! How early in the evening was it?
  24. I would send it off now that way you have it for the winter months. In my opinion November through March is the best time to catch big bass on Beaver. You can't beat that early wiggle wart and jerkbait bite!
