  5. AMUST SEE .....LOL!!! from the hwy >> your too funny!..when i was growing up we would go !, and the man that built it all( ola farwell )would let us fish off the walkway across the lake (monster bluegill)hes' the same one that built the christ of the ozarks in eureka!! it looked like a milk carton for a long time, till they made the arms and head!
  6. i said it was nice to paddle with one !! <<<<<but if i get one sure you could try it !!
  7. the paddlefest was a really big hit ,the camp ground filled, and the overflow tenters lined all the shore line. they had around 60 kayaks to test paddle .not counting all the ones paddlers brought! the hands on trainning was the best part !!! the over 50 class seemed to be the bigger group of paddlers . i got my self rescue down pat!!! but stink at rolling ! ha-ha! ,kind of hard to roll a tandem 16 ft.long .one thing to say about paddles(carbon fiber)is the way to go !! tough to swallow the $350 for one ,but man what a great feeling! to swing a few ounces rather than a pound or two!!!
  8. do the rental fishing boat at holiday island,, pull out of the marina and looking forward too the right, thats the mo state line !!>>>>> You turn left and go! 9 miles up river under the swinging bridge at beaver town , go till you come to a ramp that will be on your right (houseman's access) this is where the water starts to turn into trout water ,>> and is shallow with rock piles like a mine field,!!! next the second bridge that will be hwy 62 ( no- wake zone sign) if you can really see good current at the base of the bridge they are moving water it's safe to drvie any where (in the middle)the only fork you come to you stay left ,thru a little fast water and at the top of the riffle, your in steve's back yard at spider creek, ABOUT 45 MINS WITH A 9.9 FROM THE DOCK!! now from here back down to that boatramp it's all good!
  9. NOW THATS GOOD STUFF!!!!!! LoL !!!! >>>>>THERE IS JUST WAY TOOOOOO MANY OF THEM..... AND NOT ENOUGH OF US OUT THERE! >> we always use the ole' hey! look-out for that snake!!!!!!!! (trick!) doesn't help with rudeness but you keep'm looking over there shoulder, even helps if you jump or splash AND WALK AWAY FAST!! TRUST ME! IT WORKS YOU CAN CLEAR-OUT A HOLE BANK OF PEOPLE
  10. welcome, come on in!! they don't bite LOL!! (but, ham ...if you wait 10 years the OZARKS will be SOLD!)with a locked gate, and a sign saying that says keep out! no trespassing >>>you need to hurry-up!

  13. the water is creeping-up ? day trip? no takers ??looks like a solo trip !
  14. ok ,with all the fish stocked each year (millions), you'd figure right off the top 40 % get nailed from the first ramp at the dam. to the last ramp at housemans! right? known as THE TAIL WATERS of 7 river miles? or close to it.now the next large spring is blue springs north of houseman's that adds a good boost of cold water, and water is cool- cold almost all the way to beavertown but this section of water is sum what dead water for most of the year? seems to me this should be a good area to land some older fish?or at lease the two or three that got away! do any of you work this part of tablerock? i'm not wanting spots to fish! just want to know i'm not just wasting my efforts thanks
  15. well if you make me!!!LOL BUFFALO the best! at all water levels
  16. I fish a bunch on this list, live on beaver, on the war eagle arm(point 12) but i canoe kings, elk, upper white river, beaver tail waters, buffalo river, bull shoals tailwaters, ( are my home waters)

  18. as fast as you two went last time we could have done it in a day and a half!!! ollie kept saying..... were are they!!!>>>>it only took 7 miles to catch you guys!! must have been wayne's coffee!!lol!!!
  19. fishing on the HUNNIE Moon?? >>man o man she's a keeper!! as for the fishing< below bull is a must! a guided half/day will put you on fish! and the trip to the buffalo? steel creek is a must see! and instead of the roaring river thing, hit eureka springs (benton street B AND B ) downtown. or spider creek, on the riverbank of the white river, below beaver dam ...stop in at the beaver dam store next too spider creek they can hook you up with the fishing details( hope they read this and like my plug!!) (he posts on the board here!) as for the boat to bring? well theres too many places!!the canoe will work!but there is also some darn good lakes to see bull ,northfork ,beaver, tablerock!, well good luck ,and best wishes!!
