  1. It was one night .. Maybe a few prefished.. The waters of LOZ sound like that for 4 months 24/7. I enjoyed the idea. What kind of emissions do they dump as a weekend hobby compared to the average diesel rig driven on a daily basis or a huge SUV driven 30,000 plus miles a year. NO HARM seen here.
  2. Bill is Right! If you want to get those kids addicted to fishing I would 100% take them to Taneycomo. I had 8 kids under 10 in 2 trips down there last week and they absolutely loved it.. They wouldn't have lasted 2 hours up on T Rock..Just half a crawler and a gulp egg filled the boat. Water was colored enough for 4 lb line no problem.
  3. Hey Bill..... They did have to leave the vehicles at the ramp after launching right? Should have used their gas tank for a coffee recycling center. I did overlook someone pulling the hitch pin on a jerk like that one time.
  4. Did someone really just say $150k yearly really isnt that much??? Really?
  5. I was up at lookout early and it was terrible. It was up the sides of my boat and coated the banks as well. You could smell it and when you reached into the water for a fish it coated your arm. I thought it may have come through because it was still around even after some water had moved through.
  6. I like it!
  7. I did see a 10 year old girl catch a 31" on a crawler down near the train bridge in May.. My ears are still ringing from the squeal she let out when she saw it! I dont think you can really even catch one on purpose in Taney.
  8. There are plenty of 17" crappie. We catch plenty on Table Rock and Bull Shoals each year. 17" is not that far fetched at all.
  9. The boat launch is still out of commission as far as I can tell. There isnt even really a parking lot. The water looks a lot better but there is a lot of trash floating around still. Be careful out there. If I were you I would probably put in at the state park now that the Dam is open.
  10. Closer to 24 than 23.. Im a fisherman for heavens sake. We'll say 23 3/4.. This is catch and release afterall... Go get her shes next to that tree in the water!
  11. I was wondering about cooper myself.. Been on Table rock everyday this week with no time to play on Taney.
  12. State park is open but I believe the dam road is closed... Sorry had to
  13. Not quite 24"... But close
  14. I have about 3 minutes but...Been catching pretty good smallies from just outside the trees on down to 25 feet the last few days. Dragging a centipede and slow swimming the grub (but not quite scrubbing). Better than half are keepers. Just keep the boat in 25 to 30 and shouldnt have a prob. Picked up this Girl today. Best for my boat this year so far. Carolina rig about 15 feet just outside the trees. Get out lakes open! Mostly smallies, Only had 3 largemouth in the last 2 days.
  15. I tried to make a panoramic of yesterday above gages.
  16. 10:15 today
  17. My boat is out there at gages right now.... Bumming a ride out to her Weds afternoon. My next 2 days have cancelled anyways. There is quite a bit of current looking down at it right now. Whole trees floating out towards the bridge.
  18. I could give a seminar on this one.. Sell her car and buy a new boat.
  19. It all has to do with Big Cedars agreement with the Corps. I imagine the public marinas would do everything they could to cut in on one of the larger marinas $$ if they would have half the chance. The government doesnt often see in shades of grey.
  20. When you said big fish I just assumed big Browns.. Big rainbows I would definitely say JIG FISH. Although plenty fall to the flies. I think the largest rainbow I ever had hooked was on a zebra midge.
  21. Larger jerkbaits. Even slug-gos or Flukes downstream of Fall Creek. I like it best during heavy generation but occasionally it is decent with none. Good Luck!
  22. How far up are they? Should be getting up river a little now?
  23. I'm thinkin if I would have ran her to the scales right then instead of waiting an over an hour out of water she would beat 100 lbs but who knows. She about broke the branch the scale was on and when I held her up with tail barely touching ground she was 95. My best beast regardless.
  24. I tried to get molly to stick her head in his mouth. NO GO
