crappie fished all afternoon yesterday and only caught a few dink males way back in the coves in aunts creek area. all were caught at sundown. I just don't think they are doin it yet?? SOON,BERRY SOON.

We've ate at both montanna mike's the one on the strip MUCH better in my humble opinion.Hater house good option too.

anyone know where I can get my trolling motor fixed?? got a short/bad connection have to tap on motor sometimes to make it work also seems slow. any help would be appreciated,can't afford a new one.

had same thing happen sat. only was a tourney boat. we thought that it was sort of rude but i guess if you are a "professional" and fishing a tourney it's ok........ NOT!!

you can save yourself ALOT of grief by just un-pluging the trailer lights B4 you back into the water{hot bulbs/cold water don'tmix]. running lights only might be as simple as that filament in the bulb is burned out.

I fished fork on a weekend 8 years ago. potential for big bass but they were all spooked up from a tourney. great time tho.Saw some HUGE mounts at one of the local diners .Ray Roberts {north of Dallas} is another up and coming lake that they expect to surpass fork and t.bend. It's already known for huge crappie in large numbers.but hard to justify a 7 hr. drive when i am 15 min. or so from what is offered here.

shimano 2500 series is a good reel for the money but love my phluger pres. i'm like trav .hard on rods ugly stick gets the job done but i like the falcon 6'6 with pres. the best. got an old garcia that has been through it but still works good. alot of it is clean/lubing for gettin the good outta gear.

the people renting those big 'ol tubbs are the ones that are real scary! i dont take my 17 ft. out on holliday week-ends for just that reason. 3 years ago on the 4th of july my wife and i were out and had one of those rental yahts cut in front of us at high rate of speed and he thought it was the funniest thing that he darn near swamped us . told kimberling marina [people who rented the idiot the yaght] about it when we got back in but prob. did little good.

I agree with trav on the oriellys, had good luck with em. can't say the same about walmart brand ,had to replace two after only one season. they were the yellow case everstart. didn't think much of their everstart chargers either.

I agree with the last two posts. sadly ,until they make messin with kids in this way a death sentance it will prob. continue.These guys will more than likely pay a heavy price when they are imprisoned. I think the mother should be held partially responsible too.

the older fords with the c-6 tranny were notorious for this. my brother had one do it . he had started it and let it warm up on fast idle when it jumped into reverse and hit a greyhound bus that was parked behind it. totaled the pickup.was on flat ground when it happened.can't be too careful.

water temps up the james sat. were 50 to 52 degrees. probably gone up from there.
