  1. For night time IMO the only thing you need is the mohair leech size 10 blood red, electric blue, ace of spades, evil leperchon and the money are my go colors. I would also out some matukas and some blacked nosed daces and Mickey Finns in your box. Just a few suggestions those are my favorites for that 20 years of night fishing Taney, I kniw the pine squirrels work too in a blue and a blood red I just prefer to use the mohair leaches. As for the spin fishing the rapalas 77mm work good rainbow trout and brown trout color. I have a buddy with that is handicapped and he uses that since he can't fly fish and catches the crap out of fish on them at night.

  4. I got my jigs tied up and I am ready to head south on the next non-windy day:) my rod of choice will be a fly rod. I catch them all spring on the rock and I would assume I can catch them on Taney with a fly rod. I shall report back when I get out and do it.
  5. Awesome photos looks like everyone had some great hunts. Thanks for the comments about the kids, they love duck, turkey hunting and flyfishing. I am truley blessed to have such a great family that loves the outdorrs as much as I do. Marty been there done that and it was not fun, so hot and so dry made the drive to Rich Hill a long one.

  10. Got out yesterday for the last day of the 2013-2014 duck season for a sun up to sundown hunt at the honey hole, with my Law dog brother and 6 other buddies. It was shaping up to be a great day at about 6:30 here come the ducks but fortunate for them they were safe. When shooting time opened it was a few ducks every 20-30 minutes then along around noon it went to a few every hour. It was about 1 pm when after lunch some people decided it was nap time if you sleep in the blinds you will get woke up and it might just make your heart skip a beat. About 45 minute in to nap time we had about 6 teal dive bomb and land my brother and I managed 3 out of the bunch. Everyone awake yep about 5- 10 minutes pass here come the 3 others back got them, and that was about it except for a few pairs and a few singles. All gadwalls and teal did manage 2 mallards. Had a great year for sure here I know I got in late on the forum but we have a bunch of great guys out there hunting. Next year we should have a forum hunt on Taney line the banks and have a blast in the danger zone!! Here are some last photos Have a great year see you all on the river!!
  11. Awesome!!!! It has been a weird year for sure for different birds!!!
  12. I was like darn better get a goose mount for that mallard so I admit I fell for it too?
  13. I love the fun we are having on the duck site this year so Marty the only barrel sticker I need is this one???

  15. Awesome photo!!!! I take one for my office if the price is right!
  16. There were things to read I just saw the pictures:)
  17. Yep the smell of the gun powder is sure to wake you up better than coffee!!! Great give my bro the big head!! But hey the way I look at he gets on the pro staff I just borrow his ammo now??????
  18. Hey 50 shots and 6 birds that's not good we will see who is crying the blues during White Bass do I need to bring the day at flat Creek up!!
  19. Went out to our farm to hit the river for some action while we worked on the fence on this warm day in January. So at about 2:30 put fence stuff down and picked the shot guns up few deeks and the mojo. On the way down we spooked up some divers no big deal because the ducks we are after are not showing up till latter. I was after only green and my brother was going to shoot what ever flew. Again the honey hole did not let us down my brother killed 5 and I got 2 . The honey hole has been great this year seems they have been using it more than normal considering that fellows lake is so close not sure why they have chose our little creek but it is sure worth it this year. I had a side bet with my brother for 6 shots 6 ducks as you can see he only has 5 birds
  20. Awesome hunt it was good to see you yesterday on the water!! I wish I would have got it on film and got the bobcat in the boat hides are selling good this year!! Glad your boys got thier ducks hooked for life now!!!
  21. Yep resident for sure it was banded in Branson West and was to young to fly when banded in 2012. Lots of big geese I usually don't persue them but this one was wounded so we took care of it.
  22. Oh yea Might need to play "welcome to the danger zone" in the boat tomorrow or the next time down there!!
  23. Well since it was banded in Branson west some one must have been feeding him Cheetos :)
  24. Yes it was if I had my A game on we would have a bobcat and you would have had your duck:)
  25. Hunted the danger zone today and whacked them. We had a 3 man limit of mallards by 7:45 not sure why theses ducks are using this area but they are using it hard. There is a little feeder creek coming into the spot and the ducks love it. We had no encounters today with 5/0 however we decided to move down the lake where the Gadwalls have been known to hang out and had a guy come down to his fence line and inform us that it was private property, we informed him we were on public water and until we step foot out of the boat to keep to himself. We started to set up and he started to ride his ATV all over it was down past Cedar point about 1 mile so we have our new spot for next week:) We ended going back to first slough down from the landing set up again and whacked the gadwalls and got 4 gadwalls a ring neck and a red head.
