  1. Just like it sounds. Engine breakdown. for whatever reason. Kind of a safety against more catastrophic things that would cost you more than you're deductible. great if you are out of warranty. Only stipulation is that your boat cannot be 10 years old or older.
  2. I have gone through Bob at Worldwide Marine for over 10 years. He is very knowledgable and a fellow fisherman. Give him a call and ask about Travelers mechanical breakdown coverage.
  3. That is high. I have 25K AGREED VALUE (very important) can't recall deductible, $5k or 6K in gear, typical liab. ext. And mechanical Breakdown coverage (included powerhead and anything mechanical, only 1 company offers this) and I am at $479. If I recall, homowners ins. will not cover unless it is at your property and damaged, say storm or fire etc. And it will be an ACTUAL value price.
  4. I am contemplating replacing the floor carpet, not the the decks yet, with seadek or something similar
  5. Coffman is good. I was there yesterday.
  6. Ok I need some help with fruits. We moved to a property with peaches, tame blackberries, grapes, and I have planted strawberries last year. 1. I sprayed peaches religiously last year and they seemed to be doing great, but slowly lost fruit until harvest time, and by the time they were ripe I had barely any fruit. only a couple trees had any left. 2. My blackberries turned out well, but i see you all talk about pruning them back. What is the rule of thumb yearly practice on this? 3. My grapes are also weak.....not sure about these, what is the care for grapes? 4. Lastly, just planted strwaberries last year and they are doing great, but I want to transplant them to a different larger bed.....is this as simple as digging them up and transplanting or is there a specific process? thanks all.
  7. on the estimate I see "gearhousing" is that something different?
  8. lower unit not bad. gearcase needs replaced.
  9. The bad just gets worse..... What was originally thought to just be a replacement powerhead job had turned into and entire motor replacement....apparently when the piston went, reeds and reed plate were broke, metal made its way through and did plenty of damage.... So.....my options? Dealer said Certified pre-owned program, pacemaker program, or new were the options.guess at this point, anything is an option. I was quoted for a replacement opti. Is that the way to go or do I now look into possible 4 stroke? whats the cost difference? worth it? I am at a loss at what to do right now. Hate to have to spend this money for a luxury, but it needs to be fixed. new boat is not an option, don't want that note to carry.
  10. https://www.optimabatteries.com/en-us/support/charging
  11. I looked hard too when it was time. in the end I just couldn't justify the cost. i didnt see enough value in upgrading. if I where you I'd first research your charger model and confirm if it will or will not charge agms effectively.
  12. Flooded batteries can last a very long time if properly maintained. If you don't mind maintaining them, they are the better deal IMO. AGM are maintenence free yes, but you will pay for it too. For the time I actually use them it was not worth it to me to go AGM when I got new batteries. My 2010 i bought new is only on the second set of flooded batteries.
  13. good luck. I have a new respect for rod builders after doing 1. yes 1. that' it no need to try again. lol
  14. not about to get I to a ford vs Chevy vs dodge pissing match. I would assume more mercs on the water and you naturally will hear of more that have issues. mine has been flawless for me since new in 2010. Not a single issue. Wrench the reason I ask about the Merc factory reman is simply warranty related. I would definitely be interested in hearing what you could possibly do for me. at the moment it is waiting on insurance adjuster at Troutt and Sons in St James as it is 10 min from my house.
  15. thanks wrench, is that for a Mercury factory remanned powerhead?
  16. not sure RPMS. wasnt full throttle though. threw a rod through the block...
  17. Well I finally got bit. Never had a motor blow til now. 2010 200 proxs and threw a rod through the block..... makes me sick to my stomach just thinking about the cost to fix it. Oh well, its only money I guess.
  18. Whiteside does not
  19. Best detail goes to Lakemaster for sure
  20. We had a camper at Whiteside's hidden acres for a few years and loved it. I would totally recommend especially for the price and not having to remove trailer during the winter. They have some available with water all year so you could use it in winter if you like. last number I have for them is 417-852-4939. Linda was always very nice.
  21. Wow. Thanks. Man that sounds way nicer than what I am looking for and much more than I am looking to spend.
  22. how much? ambidextrous?
  23. Title says it. Something like a cva wolf with a scope.
  24. Ranger you keying on anything specific? Points, brush, etc.?
