  1. I am pretty exclusively a bass fisherman and fished Pomme plenty, but never for crappie. next weekend we are going to take the kids out for the first time to fish in the boat and would like to find some fish. preferrably crappie to keep and eat, but bluegill would be fine too. Need some help on where to find some crappie for the kiddos. thanks Also, where is a good place around pittsburg to get minnows. (probably will be what we use)
  2. So I have a 2006 Chevy Malibu Maxx LT for sale. Great car. 30+ mpg on the highway. 3.5 V6 motor, 116K miles. We have owned it since 2007 and it had 29K miles. It has been our family car and runs and drives great. Asking below book at $6700 obo. I'm in Rolla MO.
  3. Looking for a trailer that would fit a 1993 Sundancer 185F (18.5 ft) Pontoon. Let me know what you got. Thanks
  4. try posting it on Bassboatcentral.com. lot of traffic over there.
  5. wonder if the dock will be in by the Big Bass Bash, probably be pretty busy that weekend.
  6. Good question. I would like to know the condition of the ramp as well.
  7. May try to fish Pomme on Sat. hoping to get down there. Couple weeks ago they were starting to move up to the flooded brush. anybody tell me what the bass are up to now?
  8. Fished tourney on Sat. and just couldn't find the better fish. we caught a lot of fish and probably 10 keepers?? but all were identical at about eh 2lb or smaller size. ended with not quite 10lbs. caught most of our fish on jerkbaits fishing the edge of the flooded brush in wind. mostly main lake points. couple on a jig. If anyone knows what was done to find bigger fish this past weekend I would love to hear.
  9. Any Pro-Am circuit is going to cost a bit. If cost is an issue it may not be the best path. If it is not, then you can learn quite a bit from the boaters, problem is, like mentioned, all "pro" means is they have the money to spend to be a boater. another option is to try to find someone to hook up with to fish smaller derbies on the lakes you want to fish. I know table rock has quite a few weekly tourneys during the year as does Pomme, LOZ etc. These many times are pretty low cost. Pomme has tourneys like BATS and Pomme Bassin Nights that are about $50-$60 a boat.
  10. sounds like the wart bite may be a good thing to try. any help would be appreciated. Been thinking about A-rig/jerkbait in more of a winter pattern or shallow with Warts and jigs????
  11. Really looking hard at fishing this event! looks great
  12. thanks....may be down this weekend....not a deep water guy so I hope there's a shallow bite.........and it all hasn't been beat up too bad.
  13. It sure is.........Even though I have no idea where any of those spots are.....
  14. great post Bill. This is the information that I definitley need. It really helps me understand the type of water to fish. Not being on TR much it is VERT hard to sit in 100ft of water and cast confidently thinking i can catch a fish. I may be down fishing the 3rd and more help like this is greatly appreciated.
  15. yes I have been using it in place of texas rig. works very well. however I dont spend the money on the packaged ones. been doing fine with gool ol bell sinkers and split rings.
  16. Gonna be out of Mill Creek Ramp.....thanks
  17. will do, thanks. I am not sure where takeoff is yet. I will get back to you.
  18. don't fish the Rock but once or twice a year and may come fish a club tourney on the 3rd. I haven't been on TR for over a year. Can anyone help me out on what the fish are doing or where to start looking? I see a lot of A-Rig posts, I will have one tied on along with jerkbait, jig, and wiggle wart, but where to find the fish right now would be the biggest help. Thanks yall.
  19. Great report. I will be there the end of march with the wife and hope to get her on some fish. I will be checking back often. Thanks for the great repors
  20. Back to original question about hooks. I use a #4 and a #6 the smaller hook on front helps with hangups and I don't have any problems missing fish. I like ultra points and the new Kvd trebles too. Another thing I do is add one or two suspend dots just behind the bill on the belly to slow down the speed it rises when u pause it. Love warting in the spring.
  21. How much per bait?
  22. Saw this and wanted to bring it back up reminding folk Greg will be at BPS in Spfd for the Spring Fishing deal speaking about Wiggle Warting in the Ozarks. Wish I could go.
  23. Is that a shad rap? and if so what size is it? Also, is the black crank on the bottom a wiggle wart? How much per bait? thanks
