we meet in batllefield at prarieview heights club house and except boaters and non boaters. our tournaments are just for points and braging rights, we use a measuring board thats shows weight at measured length and write it on a score card and turn the fish loose imediately. anyone interesed pm me and I will give directions ps dues are $100 a year and we have 2 over nighters a year and club pays for rooms come join us
pressured is an understatement, there was around 600 boats just in tournaments. in my opinion it's getting obscene the number of tournys these days especialy on some of our smaller lakes
fished mostly in little indian, average water temp 65, we caught 10 keeper smallies all looked to be males or spawned out females. 10 t0 15' depth and senkos was the best bait we only had 2 small lg mouth and we only caught the smallies in one small area. we covered a lot of water to find fish
thx Bo, went sat 5/12 ha d one 4lb was on very end where 2 very steep baks met at the mouth of a small feeder creek, looed like a spawne out femael with a very flat belly, she was in a foot of water
it's sad but there are very few bass left in the lake, surplus of crappie and waleye, mucho numbers of keepers but only miniscule numbers of bass!!!!!! so if you're going to stockton don't waste your time fishing for bass, trust me not many bass left
lake turned yet in shell knob area of the lake, haven't been there in a few weeks. was out of pb2 on loz saturday and it had turned most of the fish we marked were 25-45 ft deep and bites were rare at best. what is water temp my jerk baits are chomping at the bit
fished out of a boat last sat. on stockton, lots of boat trafic, weather was low 80's mixed sun and clouds had some topwater action then it was mostly shaky head had a mix of smallies largemouth and kentuckes and managed 7 leagal fish out of many shorts but nothing over 2 1/2
well we managed to catch over 20 bass with 6 being legal keepers, 2 brownies, 2 lm, and 2 kentuckies , biggest was a 2 1/2lb lm. all the fish came 2 to 12 ft deep, both creek arms and main lake and top water and shaky head produced the best
shouldn't have said that but when champ was the first to reply just couldn't resist, I hang my head in shame. that is good results on a summer weekend on the rock
anyone that lives close enough you can also get them at Wilson Creek National park, a civil war battlefield sw of springfield mo , a word of caution people will steal them out of your vehicle. freind of mine forgot to take his down after fishing and went to walmart and that is the resxt of the story
