  1. Our own Pepe will have finesse jigs available soon under the White River Lures label. As a bonus, all purchases will benefit the angler's charity of choice. Website is under construction now. Donna and I have fished some of his prototype jigs and they are most excellent.
  2. No one catches them every trip, Terrin. Commendable that you would come on here and just report what happened. Reports of slow fishing are informative in their own way. It takes all kinds of information to put together the puzzle. Bet you get them next time. Thanks again for the report.
  3. Nice report and a fun day. Congrats!
  4. Again? lol
  5. KC-Dallas would make a very good Super Bowl. Let's rumble.
  6. I'm with you on the Hogs in both fb and basketball pains. Been a fan since I could walk. Far as the NFL goes, we'll always make room for you on the Cowboys bus.
  7. Love it !!!
  8. Great report. Thanks bferg. And happy 2017 back atcha.
  9. LSU-Louisville kicks in 5 minutes (10 a.m. CST). I have a policy of not rooting for LSU in anything short of a clash with ISIS. However, I'm equally hateful toward Bobby Petrino for the shape he allowed our Arkansas program to slip into. One of those game I wish both could lose.
  10. Now that's funny I don't care who you are.
  11. Sending a PM.
  12. I think he might have fished around Kimberling City. Or not. You'd have to ask him.
  13. While nodding to the interesting aspect of this TW offering, signs are emerging that it's time to get you in a boat. Is your knee up to an outing in Bella Vista next week?
  14. Vernon, my bad ... I could've sworn that swim jig rod has Jason Christie's name on it but it does not. But yes, it's the 172. To my knowledge, that's the only swim jig rod they make. Anyway, it's a dandy spinnerbait stick. As for additional uses for the weightless worm rod, 1farmer is all over it regardless of how many cats he has ... it works superbly for smaller topwaters such as poppers, Super Spook Jrs., etc. Could also see it being a decent square bill stick unless you were throwing it back in a lot of heavy cover.
  15. That's high praise right there.
  16. Good day, Sprint. Thanks for the report.
  17. Keep on keeping on, Jim. You are a testament to the value of golf and fishing to one's health.
  18. Vernon, I would echo Jim on the Cara being lighter overall than the Lowrider. Donna has a 6-9 MH-Xfast Lowrider spinning rod that she loves for shaky heads. I bought it because it had a bit more backbone without being too stiff than I could find in other rods to help her penetrate the hook better. I will say that on something I'm gonna throw all day like a jerk bait or spinner bait, I want the lightest rod I can put in my hands both for increased feel and to save wear and tear on my aging joints and muscles. The aforementioned Cara in the weightless worm model does the job for my jerk baits, while my primary spinnerbait rod is the Jason Christie-designed Cara swim jig model. I believe it's 7-2. Love that stick. When I'm fishing spinnerbaits tight to cover, I switch to a 6-9 MH/Fast Duckett Micro Magic.
  19. I know that dude launching the cast off the back deck. I've drawn him several times. The one about the ketchup is pretty darn funny, too.
  20. You need to step up your game. An hour is plenty of time to catch half a dozen 3-4 pounders.
  21. Can't very well afford to get in a whizzing match with Johnny these days since he pretty much controls the entire sport of fishing.
  22. You need some new sources. LOL
  23. Merry Christmas back atcha Gabe, and all others.
  24. Yes, merry CHRISTmas to all OAFers from me and Donna!
