  1. It does. But you can also get some of these in cans at the Derby Wine Center on Glenstone at times.
  2. Yeah bluegill aren't that particular, but those flies look really good too. Nice job.
  3. He doesn't. Eric have you even tied a fly since you set it all up??
  4. Here's a good article on foreign tied flies. http://www.flyrodreel.com/magazine/2011/july/foreign-tied
  5. I like the flysticks, seem like good rods and they get a lot of good reviews. It was on the shortlist just a few weeks ago when I was looking at rods, went with a Redington Predator because I got a smokin deal on it. I also have an older Echo 3wt that you couldn't pry out of my hands. I'll pull out the Scott if I'm feeling snobbish.
  6. In my book it makes you smart. Nothing floats like foam.
  7. Pretty sure he said they released them.
  8. If they can't do #3 then how can they do #1 or #2? Actually if they would do #3 then you wouldn't have to worry about the rest.
  9. Geez, just ignore him. Jealousy is such a bad thing. I enjoy reading your reports, keep them coming.
  10. Your thinking is good. That's a great area.
  11. Mike's a good guy. I've used him in the past.
  12. That's just wrong. They need to send him and Haley down the road right now.
  13. I think we just need more outfitters that are trying to keep things civilized like Justin. You can't impose a tax because it interferes with our fishing. It wouldn't be right for anyone involved. But I do think there needs to be some kind of agreement that they sign that says they will remove their trash. Al, you crack me up. You would have a fit on the river if you saw somebody keeping a short smallmouth, but a guy makes sexual references to your 14 year old niece and you just turn your head? Who took your man card? I don't always have a gun on the river either but there will be no one making references like that in front of me. Maybe if we started standing up for the RIGHT things there would be fewer wrong things happening.
  14. They make plastic welding rods that can be heated and applied lots of different ways. It would be better and a lot cheaper than Leggos. Even purchasing a small plastic welder (really just a soldering iron) isn't that expensive. There are also some two part repair materials in the automotive repair industry that are designed for plastics. They may be more expensive than JB Weld and others but they are very strong and remain flexible.
  15. horrible
  16. I think TC was actually talking to Cricket. They have this little thing...call it puppy love if ya want. That's some big pumpkins. Very cool.
  17. I have seen some that I think are that big, but no I cannot share a photo with you. I would have to be able to catch one first. But I have seen some swimming that would approach those marks, not a lot but I've seen a few. Yeah I know they look bigger when they are swimming. But I have done quite a bit of sight fishing in my past and I know how a fish looks in the water.
  18. Maybe this will put an end to this. PETA sues hair extension firm over feathers Feather Hair Extensions: A Trend Worth Killing For?
  19. I've only been once so I have no idea if they are right. I do know that the guides would love to see a longer season but I also know that most of this is money motivated.
  20. Do it. I would participate.
  21. They should allow you to use the ramp in the camp ground. Sometimes they do and sometimes they make you drive somewhere else. The attendant that was there a few years ago was a jerk and would try to stop you, but it's stupid to drive all over the lake looking for another ramp when the campground is empty. Shouldn't be a problem now though.
  22. Cool. I got in on some of that snapper fishing for the first time this year. Fun stuff. What area of the gulf are you in?
  23. Worm type flies work well. I have done well in the past fishing them carolina style on a fly rod using split shot for the weight. Not the easiest thing to lob out there, but they do catch fish. You can see a copuple different ones in the upper right hand corner of this picture. These are tied with yarn and chenille. Pretty simple. You can also use a strip of rabbit and get something that will fish like a floating worm or senko.
  24. Well remember to just duct tape the hook on. If you try to just thread it on like a worm they will expire quickly. You could go through several litters in one trip.
