  1. The warming trend makes the whites bite a lot better for sure. The A rig is definitely a great search bait and a reaction bite. When you find them, you can catch a boatload on the A rig. Always keep other baits on hand like the swimmin minnow and a smaller stickbait if the A rig is not producing. White bass change like the weather around here, they will turn on and off several times during the day. In the spring, always look for them in the backs of the major creeks or at the headwaters of bull shoals at river run. If you are having trouble this next spring, just stay in contact with me and I will help you out all I can.
  2. Usually when the water gets in the mid to upper 40s and we get several days of nice weather, this will make the fish get in a feeding mode. Late March to early April is about the time everything is in prespawn.
  3. From my experience, the A rig seems to work best during pre spawn and spawn for the whites. We catch fish on em all winter and early spring, as soon as the water hits the mid 50s the bite really slows down. I think when the water hits that temp, the schools of shad spread out and the fish key on single shad.
  4. Rainbow, it has already aired and Velvick is a great guy to fish with. Full of energy and very intelligent fisherman. Would love to do another show with him again!
  5. Here are a couple video fishin reports for late June Here is one of Jason Gilstrap while on vacation at Table Rock. Very informative
  6. Great advice as usual from Bill and rps. Josh I think we all know where you're comin from. I've ran into several knuckleheads out there, not only at the lake but at the gas station at 4 in the mornin with the usual drunk crowd making their way home. Just have to turn the other cheek and try to forget about it.
  7. Finally got the link for the show I did with Byron Velvick this spring on Bull Shoals. Eric Prey's video is on here as well, hope everyone enjoys! http://guideseyes.com/2013/06/21/bull-shoals-ak/

  9. Yes I got to touch a fish or two! And four people in the boat there was not much castin at all! Had a great mornin with the whites. They weren't busting the top but could see groups of them on the graph. Probably 1\2 mile of fish on one stretch. Like Bill has said, you bette r be on the water at 515 because it's all over at 700.
  10. Ive replaced all of my baitcasters and most of my spinning reels with Lews and have been using them for almost 2 years. You won't be disappointed with them. Very easy to use and maintain. Check out Sportsman's Outlet in Springfield, they usually have some on sale plus the store is ran by Jim Lovan, super great guy and local fisherman. I am on the water well over 200 days a year and I have yet to have any problems with any of Lews reels.
  11. That's true Phil, everything over there looks the same with the high water. There is a good flat point in front of the swimming area, another one is the island to the N east of the swimming area. We caught several on the S east side of the island. They need a sign or two to get to the ramp in the park.
  12. Phil, most of the walleye we have been catchin are on the flat points in the 12-16 ft range. Very light bite, they just load up on it. We hadour limit Friday in 4 hours with only 2 short ones (3 people) plus a dozen kentuckys and that many white bass. Lots of fun for sure. Be sure to use the boat ramp on the west side of the park (the one in the campground) its a lot easier loading and unloading right now with the high water.
  13. Gonna try to do 2 or 3 reports a month. I want to cover as many techniques as I can (deep crankbaits, drop shot, spooning, etc) hope you guys enjoy and if you have any questions about anything, drop me a line or give me a call.
  14. Here is the new video report for Table Rock: www.getalimitoutdoors.com/31-lake-reports/phil-stone/120-phil-stone-lake-report-mid-may-2013 Video quality is a little poor, but I am getting a Go Pro camera this week so the next video should have better quality.
