Had a good morning up here in Alaska for opening day of duck season. There was a little bit of fog on the water and the temp was 27 degrees. Got my limit of 8 ducks in less than an hour. 4 widgeon, 3 mallards and one pintail. Spent more time putting out decoys, picking them up and collecting birds than actual hunting. Had several flocks of 30 to 50 birds wanting in on the decoys this morning.....
ahhhh, the smell of fresh burning powder on the crisp cool air with ducks and feathers raining from the sky is a great thing.
