  6. how is that Richard Cross? Have not seem him in quite a few years. I've got a picture on my wall of him holding a beautiful arctic char at Ugashik Narrows in South West Alaska. Next time you see him, tell him I said hello. Sounds like you guys had a fantastic day!

  8. Should be a nice weekend coming up. Hopefully you'll get her back together and have a better weekend.
  9. I was just thinking that plane would make a nice diner on the landing.

  12. Cool pictures. You can darn near see my house in the top center of first picture. Thanks for sharing.
  13. Your welcome. Looking forward to next time.
  14. Oh, and i can see Heavy Metal wanting Doug on the pro staff and having him promote the product. I believe they would rather keep me and Michael as customers though…..Hahahahah!
  15. Ok, to even things up, I must admit……..I can burn some gun powder in order to get a limit of ducks too. That stuff is better than coffee in the morning!
  16. We caught them on brown and orange marabou trout jigs. Watched a couple of fellas crushing the bass population last week along a bluff using A-rigs.
  17. They can stop them in real short distances compared to what it will need for a take off. Now let's see them get that thing out of there with only a 3200 foot runway.
  18. Sorry to read about the misshap. My wife and I saw you guys down there and wondered what was going on. We thought you guys were buying a trailer when we saw u loading the other one.
  19. Nice shooting Doug. I've seen Michael shoot. Don't think we will hear him saying that....LOL!
  20. I have broke many a 5 and 6 wt rods fishing for whites. They are just one tough fish on the fly rod. A decent drag is important for the whites. Wayne is right about the season not being dependable. Some years you can start getting on them in Feb. 1st week of April is my favorite week to fish for them. The spring floods can end it all real quick.
  21. Had a good day down on Taney catching trout, crappie and bass. Got out of the wind behind the fish house and had a blast catching small mouth, large mouth, crappie, and trout. I imagine TR was rough today.
  22. I would go with Taney. Fished for crappie in front of the Landing today. Lots of ducks from Roark down.
  23. I spent the whole week scouting miles and miles of Table Rock, the James River, Flat Creek, Lower Taney, and Upper Bull Shoals. I thought a float down the James or Flat Creek would be cool, but with the snow melt and rain, I was afraid of the dangers high water might bring. Table Rock did not have huntable numbers of ducks anywhere. Upper Bull Shoals looked good but just did not have the numbers of ducks I would have liked to have seen. We ended up back at Taney in the mouth of one of the sloughs that had lost some ice. Wanted it to be a good hunt for the boys and all the scouting paid off. Cant ever turn down an offer to hunt with Chief and the Corndawg!
  24. It was a lot of fun watching them boys on their quest. Pretty good day in my book!
  25. He looks real familiar….guess he finally decided to leave his little refuge at Cedar Point
