  1. Thanks Marty....LOL! We found the big ones right across the road from the house as we were walking back from the woods. Been living here for 5 years now and just realized the big ones are just across the street.
  2. We walked around in the woods for a bit today and found a couple more goodies! DD'sMC has got the bug bad now. It was her best haul ever.
  3. LOL! Thanks Scott!
  4. Just missed dinner. Had to call for some backup (brother and sister in-law) to help finish off what we cooked for dinner. Ground deer chuck patties and sautéed morrels. Who needs dessert after a meal like that? I treasure the friendship also
  5. Thanks tho1mas. I'll will heed your advice. I will split them up between dinner tonight, breakfast, lunch and dinner tomorrow.
  6. Thanks Marty! Tell Pat, I get that a lot??????? LOL!

  11. Sounds like an interesting and exciting competition.
  12. Those are two good looking bass!
  13. According to Coast Guard rules and regulations governing inland waters, a boat can display any lights as long as they do not interfere with the ability of the posted look out to see. The red and green side lights and all around white light is a minimum requirement for all boats 7 meters or less while under way or making way.
  14. Welcome to the forum. Yep on the whites. Its been hit and miss, but they are starting their runs.
  15. Fished like a mad man with my Brother Dave, sister and nephew coming down over the weekend. Happy to sit in the house and tie some flies up today.
  16. Welcome to the forum. Im sure you will find some useful information on here some where.
  17. I usually carry 3 shades of grey and 3 shades of tan. Light, medium, and dark. Then I usually have 4 sizes of each color. 12, 14, 16, and 18's. Then i usually have one dozen of each color and size. One whole box dedicated to sow bugs. Midges are the same way. That's why I like to find a few that work good and stick to them.
  18. Pretty much the same report from me in the Kings River today. Fished every where and everything only to catch a few of the large mouth bass fish and only one crappie. It came from some pole timber in 15 to 20 fow Taney fished good this evening especially once the moon came up.
  19. I've had several of the muskies take swipes and follows just walking and casting from the dam.
  20. Great report Bill. Love the pictures. That is the hardest thing for my reports is downsizing all the pictures.
  21. Go get um Rick! Taney fished kinda slow today. Running 1/2 unit or so, and not too many dumb ones today.
  22. Back in the 80's and early 90's, I always preferred Montauk. For some reason, Bennet seemed like a further drive from STL. Then I found Taney and got tired of driving 4 to 4 1/2 hours to go fish, so I just moved down here. Now if I fish a trout park, it is usually Roaring River.
  23. Yeah, I'll find out more on Friday.
  24. I heard rumors of it again today. Caught below Swan Creek, not quite to Barker's Hole at night 23 pounds 7 ounces. Would like to see some official black and white on it?
