I got the bug to get another pistol. I been checking out the Kimber rimfire 22ss. Has anyone had any experience with them? I know they are pricey but I like the 1911 look.
It wasnt covered by my insurance, but some may be covered. To me its worth the money. I paid 125.00 for a month supply. It seems expensive till you figure 2 packs of smokes per day is close to or more than 150.00 per month. I tried the patch and the gum. Both help in reducing smoking. But the nicotine addiction is still there. This medicine blocks off the feeling that you need a smoke.
I have smoked 2 packs per day for the last 25 years. Tried many times to quit without any success. My doctor gave me RX for Chantix pills. I havent had a smoke in 2 weeks and have had zero withdraw feelings. To me it is a wonder drug.
I have seen him a few times at Knuckleheads Saloon in KC. He is a very good guitarist. If your ever in KC Knuckleheads has some really good blues and rock bands every week. not long ago i saw Walter Trout play there. He really sherads.
The gun is at least 40 years old, I got it from my father. I gave it a good cleaning , but then again maybe I missed something. I really like the gun, and it is a lot cheaper to shoot. I have a feeling before I got the gun it hasnt been fired in about 40 years. I got a feeling i need to do a more intense cleaning and lube job. Thank you all for your help, and i will check out that web site.
I dont know much about the working parts of a pistol. Maybe this is a stupid question, but here it goes. Is there a lighter spring i could try to make slide easier for shells to eject?
I have an old High Standard Sport King 22. About every 4th shot i get a stove pipe. I took the gun apart and thourly cleaned and lubed it. Took it to the range and had same results. My friend said I needed to try CCI mini mags and that regular 22 longs werent powerful enough to push slide all the way open. Any thought or opinions on this problem?
For the last month i been searching for 9 mm ammo, all the wally worlds have been empty, Dicks and Bass Pro also empty. Last weekend i went on a search again of all the stores. Dicks and Wally were empty but Bass pro had a whole end cap of 9 mm. I bought 12 boxes and didnt put a dent in what they had. It almost felt like christmas as i walked out.
Took it to the range yesterday. Very impressive little gun. I guess i will need to get another, due to my wife shot a box of ammo through it and decided it was gonna be her new target gun.
Thanks guys for all the info. I am not one who jumps into buying a gun without doing some studying, and asking advise. All your information makes complete sence. I think i am going to pass on the Judge. You guys have been a big help.
I am looking at home defence. I figure the 410 would be easier to aim in a time of stress , plus less chance of stray bullet going through wall and hitting innocent person.
I was looking to purchase a Taurus The Judge pistol It is a 5 shot revolver that shoots either or both 45/ 410 shotgun shells. And was curious if anyone has any information on the quality of Taurus weapons.
There is no ingraving or vented rib on this gun. More than likely i will leave it at home when i hunt. Really not interested in selling it to collector. I think I will pass it to my grandson when he gets old enough to appreciate it.
Thanks terry for your help. The gun was my fathers, and was kept in very good shape. not sure if i want to use it for hunting or just keep it since it was my fathers. I am just checking out my options. I dont post on Ozark anglers much but i read it daily and enjoy all the posts you guys pu ton here. thanks
I recieved a winchester model 12 shotgun last week. my question is, can i shoot steel shot in it? Someone tole me in older guns all you can shoot is lead.
I am a rookie at trout fishing, and was planning a trip to taney this fall. I was thinking about hiring a guide. I think Trav would makea good guide. What other lake has a world wide renowned guide to put you on big fish?......if you dont think he is world wide just ask him.
