  1. North Fork of the White quickly comes to mind. Bobber, first of all, thank you for extending this invite to all of us. Here is where I stand. I have a 14' Two Brothers Royalex canoe. I use it a lot as a solo, but it does see a fair amount of action as a tandem, usually with my girlfriend or my Golden Retriever (they weigh about the same and are equal paddlers!) I took a Red Cross sponsored paddling class back in college (early '90's) and have continued to do a fair amount of paddling since. I feel very comfortable on most Ozark streams, at most water levels; although, I am not as brave/confident as I used to be. Believing that I am an adequate paddler, I know that I still have room for improvement. Thanks again, Bobber and I look forward to meeting all of you and strengthening our skills together!
  2. Nice report, Buzz! That is a heckuva purdy Brownie there Chief! Wasn't it a little warm to be wearing a sweater on the river, though?
  3. This is the only pic I have of that unfortunate looking Brownie. It's a good thing that vanity is not an issue in the fish world! I do remember catching a Rainbow on Taneycomo one time that had a strangely similar disconfigured face.
  4. There is lots of brim to be folded, for sure. I need one of those pimpin feathers from your rooster to set it off! I had a good time yesterday. That afternoon Thunderstorm sure did feel good!
  5. Happy Birthday Wrenchie, you old Curmudgen, you!
  6. Did you have someone drop you off at 125? Last time I was out that way, the access was still cabled off.
  7. Lookin' good! Thanks for keeping us up to date. When complete, we'll need to see some photo's of it's maiden voyage!
  8. No pictures? I don't believe you. I bet you are sitting at home in Branson West watching "Into the Wild", saying "Hey MC, watch this...I'll get these guys at OAF going!" Just kidding! That sounds awesome, I wish I was there with you guys! Thanks for keeping us posted!
  9. I've had the honor to ride in the Suburban and it is well worth the 3 grand, not mention you get a jet boat for free! Good luck Brother! If I had the dough, I'd jump on that deal in a heartbeat! Kevin
  10. Cool! Thanks, now I know what I'll be requesting for my B-day! Cheers back to ya!
  11. Cool project! Keep us posted on the progress!
  12. Great pics! Looks like a good time, for sure! Where did you find that "hang over the edge" style Pelican case? What a handy tool!
  13. Happy Birthday, Brother! Hope all of you are having a blast at the ballpark tonight!
  14. I witnessed a Sasquatch kill one of my fishing buddies. I haven't been back since. I suggest all of you stay away!
  15. You guys are a bunch of insensitive turds! I engineered this fine vessel a few years ago and that is me showing it off. I still have a few more of those vintage chairs in my shed if anyone wants one of these fine models, minus the trolling motor, of course. And by the way, I have never done meth in my life. This picture was taken after I ignited a couple of dozen bug bombs in my basement with the windows closed. I tripped over the sit and spin and knocked myself out for a couple of days. I've since recovered.
  16. I guess I should switch to the low-fat sausage, eh? Sorry about your seat, Chief!
  17. What a bonehead!
  18. Looks like the 1st of January is going to be on a Saturday. So unless something crazy happens with my schedule in the meantime, I should be able to make it! I'll start working on Flysmallie, it'll take about that long for him to get permission to go!
  19. Nice craftsmanship, Brother! I think I need to bring my boat to you and let you pimp it out for me! Keep on keepin' on!
  20. LOL!!!! I was wondering if anyone would catch that old SNL reference.
  21. Thanks to all you guys for the kind words. I just have to back Jeremy up on another thread........if any of you get the chance to fish with these guys, jump on it! All three of these fellas are just an absolute pleasure to be on the river with. I laughed, I cried, it was better than Cats!
  22. Well I met up with Chief, Dylan and KCRR today on a secluded stretch of a SW Missouri stream that rhymes with Thing River. We dumped the canoes and gear with Dylan and KC and Chief and I did the shuttling. When we came back Dylan was landing this beauty! I had the joy of sitting in the front of the boat for this trip (which I'm not used to.) Chief was an amazing guide, he put me on so many fish, I should've given him a hefty tip for the excellent job he did today! Enough words, lets get to the photo's! Swim Break! More fish! That one was cool! That giant Bluegill I caught and as I was landing it we notice a Largemouth chasing and pecking away. Chief threw into the action and landed the Largemouth! How cool is that! And now for the fish of the day............... Good job Dylan!!!!!! This kid can outfish anyone I have ever fished with......no kidding! Had a blast today! Thank you Chief, KC and Dylan!
  23. Awesome report! Looks like a great day! Thanks for sharing.
  24. Hey Fishin4Fun! Long time no read! Hootentown to Goff Creek is about 7 miles. There is some great fishing on that stretch and Hootentown Canoe Rental will shuttle your vehicle for 10 bucks. All the typical methods should work fine. Keep us posted! Kevin
