  1. Right on, Brother!!!! I had a blast too. First time in a drift boat and it was awesome! Thanks for being so kind to us, can't wait to do it again! Kevin
  2. Not sure. Now that you mention it, I think that my Grandfather used to say that and he was from Illinois, by way of Oklahoma. I guess it is just one of those old time slang words?!?! Chief- Agreed.
  3. I've got room for another in my boat, too. Don't be shy. I'll try not to scare the peewadden out of ya!
  4. I'd like to try one of these! 1. List your name, screen name is fine. If you used your real name I wouldn't know who you were. Wheatenheimer 2. List how many will be in your boat. 1, unless women and dogs are welcome (might bring the dog) 3. List what you may bring for food if you guy's would like to stop for a shore lunch like we did last time. Stuffed Jalepenos 4. List what river/creek you prefer to float.Don't care 5. Pick you preferred date to float.Any Saturday, except May 15 and should be fine
  5. This seems to be the Holy Grail of Missouri Paddlers. I have read about it for at least 25 years, but never made my way out that direction to float it. Thank you for posting the pictures! One of these days I will get out there. In the first photo, What is up with that very derelict looking bridge? Is that an old foot bridge, or a really shanty Railroad bridge? I'm intrigued!?!?!
  6. Sorry to hear about your old girl. As hard as it is to see them go, you have to think back of all the joy and smiles they gave us while we were lucky enough to have had them in our lives. My heart goes out to you and your family. Kevin
  7. Nice pictures.....pretty fish....ugly dude! Sounds like a great weekend!
  8. Awesome report! Thanks for sharing!
  9. LOL!!!!! No, the report was excellent. I was refering to the lack of vulgarities. Just joking with ya!
  10. Hey Chief, great report man! Sounds like you had a fantastic time. You're not getting soft on us, are you?
  11. And what a shame, too! I would like to see them open it back up as catch and release, or even kids only. That was the perfect place to learn to flyfish. You could practice your cast and be rewarded with very eager, monster 'gill's that didn't care about how hard you slap the water with your line. I don't care if I wasted the last 35 seconds filling out the online survey. If there is even a slim chance this will help, it was worth it! Keep fighting the good fight, Brother!
  12. I'm sure she'll do it for a nominal fee!
  13. Remember when river outfitter's used to offer innertubes for those that were too cheap to rent a canoe? Do they still do that? What's the difference between an innertube on the river and a float tube?
  14. Thank you ecce38! You are a gracious man!
  15. Wow! That is one heckuva nice fish Buzz! Thanks for sharing, looking forward to fishing with you guys again real soon! Kevin
  16. For those of you that were there, I'm sure you will back me up in saying that Brian gave an excellent presentation last night. Very informative and entertaining! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us on this fantastic fishery! Kevin
  17. I floated that stretch this past Saturday and wished that I would've brought my chainsaw!
  18. That is one awesome video! Thanks for sharing!
  19. Hey Terry, I'll bring some flies by BCO sometime this weekend. I don't remember what I tied because I still haven't got mine from Ronnie yet. But, I'll come up with something for you guys. Bummer they got swiped. Did you check Ronnie's pockets before he left?
  20. I have a Two Brothers Brightwater 14 foot Royalex. I can't say enough good things about it. It does everything I want it to do. I am 6 foot and weigh 185 and it makes a perfect solo canoe for my needs, it is also a great tandem with someone my size or smaller. I've floated in Buffalo's, Old Town's, Wenonah's and they are all great boats, but they are also nearly 40% higher in cost. Plus with Two Brother's you are buying locally and giving your hard earned cash to two great guys that have a true passion for building quality boats at a reasonable price. Whatever choice you make, I'm sure that you will really enjoy floating and fishing this Spring and Summer. We are so fortunate to live in a part of the country that has such great fisheries and waterways at our convienence. Good luck, Brother!
  21. Hey Brent! Glad to see ya here. There is a lot of great folks that participate on this site. It's a wonderful resource and community! Look forward to your post's and fishing with you soon! Kevin
  22. I'm offended. And I blame you!
  23. Ronnie, I'm starting to believe that you did sell mine on eBay! Guess we are just going to have to go fishing so I can get my gosh darned flies!
