Well, maybe I was wrong about this guy.The whole ring thing was and still is kind of strange to me .Seems like he was fishing a little to hard for a deposit.How cool is it that someone in visiting China can post on here to help clear things up,In any case,. my wife wont let me go fishing in Brazil this year anyway.

Recently while on vacation in Colorado I met a man who claimed to be a past Bassmaster classic winner,Needles to say I was impressed and considered booking a trip with him to fish in Brazil. He told me that he won the 2nd Bassmaster classic on Table Rock.After doing a little research while waiting for my flight home I cant find him as a winner of any tournament ever in Bassmaster history. He even showed me a ring that he claimed he was awarded at the time of his win.According to the article I read ,Ray Scott did not have the money to give out any rings for the first 5 years of the tournament. Rings were retroactively awarded to the past winners.This man said his name was Lance Glaser. after looking at BassMaster website all I could find on him is a 35lb total over 5 tournaments during the 90's. 0 wins and zero money awarded.He also claimed to be featured in many Field and Stream articles. I did a quick search and found nothing.Am i missing something here or is this guy lying to his potential clients.If anybody has heard of this man ,and I am wrong I would like to hear from you. If he is a liar ,do you think Bassmaster would like to know that a guide is using their good name to promote his business.

We launched at the Shell Knob bridge ,the dock was in place,but you may have to clear a little flotsam and jetsam out of the way. Fishing was tough but we managed a limit way back in the sloppy water .Lots of debris in the water be careful out there,I dont think I would want to be up on plane after dark even with a good spot light.

I think osprey also.I saw another way back in Panther creek also.Fishing wasnt to bad either. Very difficult to get good nature photos.Those National Geographic guys are amazing.

I was able to witness a true expert yesterday,I should have had my camera ready sooner.

A close friend of mine is going to drive a new road course car for Petty racing.There is no Dodge currently in the series.When sponsorship money is complete Petty will supply the cars and motors.Spent the week in NC rounding up sponsors The car will be #43 in Petty race trim,how cool is that?I didnt get a chance to meet the King, but here are a couple of pics of his private collection. The original Mason Dixon line was surveyed well before any hint of the civil war. The line was a border of Pa and Maryland ,Delaware and WV.Thats it. I believe it was completed in 1767.After the Missouri compromise in 1820 the lines of division were also called the Mason -Dixon because it was a natural way to separate north and south with a known name already in use.Check your facts.I really dont want to get into discussion here about history.but the facts are the facts.The line was surveyed to clear up border disputes that dated back to the late 1600's.

I wouldnt call it a stream,The Colorado River down in the Grand Canyon.If you have never been there you need to go.It was a life changing experience for me.Rafted and camped in the canyon for 8 days.caught enough fish to make a nice shore lunch for our entire party.The Grand Canyon will make you realize how insignificant you are compared to the big picture. thought I had pics of the fish,Here is one of the river.

Bill we had a very similar day ,maybe yesterdays wind woke em up.Fished today out of Big M .water temps main lake were about44-48.Went back to Roaring River,found temps up to 58 by late afternoon .We had good bites all day.put together a nice limit,I dont really want to guess at weight but two went at least 4lbs.Over all it was a very good day considering I was snowbound a week ago.No Whites yet but they may be in there,there were giant schools of bait on the warm flats.

I thought it was Led Zep and a mud shark?red snapper maybe.Not sure about that Gene Simmons thing.

Troutfiend,worry about your fish.Dont stress to much about all the other fish that millions of fishermen return to the water everyday,all around the world.You are not going to change the way people handle fish.All the proof you need is out there still swimming .Nobody on this forum would condone abusing a fish for recreational purposes.I appreciate a man who is concerned about our natural resource,but it seems like you would better spend your energy on a different cause.This is a tough crowd here,with many excellent fishermen posting.You seem to have hit a nerve here,telling people they have been wrong all these years.Anybody fishing with me has the greatest respect for the fish we catch,or they are not fishing out of my boat again.Chill out,enjoy nature when you are on the river and mind your own business.At the end of your fishing day are you relaxed and content with your efforts for the day,or are you angry,mad that someone didnt listen to you,driving home pissed off?Life is to short for that. ok, let me have it.

If I could afford a car and a team I think I would get a driver with a better attitude towards the series.I enjoy all kinds of racing,not just Nascar.Dont bash a sport because you dont like it.Most Rolex drivers would jump at the chance for a Sprint Cup ride.Open wheel racers now graduate to stock cars.20% of zero is still zero.Many races take place well north of the Mason-Dixon line,NY, NH, PA ,IL , MI, IN, MO.Tracks out west dont really consider themselves in the south either.2 races in CA,Vegas,Arizona.Looking forward to Daytona.Yeehaw.

Do your best to handle your fish as gently as you can.I respectfully disagree with some of the posts here.I have turned back lots of fish ,99% swim off to live another day.I think the key to a good release is controlling the fish once you have it in your grasp. What is worse,gilling a trout or dropping it in your boat?Some people will squeeze that fish a little harder when it wiggles.Cant be good.Lip that bass,get the hooks out before he hooks you[see other thread].Most small fish are allowed to unhook themselves at the boat with a little slack line.This has worked for me for almost 50 years now,trout,bass,walleye,pike,muskie,cats,reds,crappie,and a few saltwater species over the years.Dont worry about my fish,they'll be OK.

Spring will return someday and your dream will become a reality.For now ,another log on the fire sounds like the best idea.Landlocked here for days, I dont think I can watch another fishing show.

careful with that antifreeze leak.ethylene glycol is extremely toxic to animals.Dogs WILL drink it .without treatment it is fatal.If you cannot stop the leak I would use a brand that advertises non toxic. Anywhere you park a car with an antifreeze leak,friends house, family members , you are potentially putting any of the pets in the area in danger. Good luck fixing that leak,did they check the weep hole on the waterpump?

Well I Googled LOZ piranha and Ozark Anglers popped up.This was discussed in March 2010.

I am watching MonsterQuest on History channel right now and they are investigating piranha caught three years in a row on LOZ. Has any body ever heard of this?
