  1. It's about decent gravel bars up there. You might come upon a good one at 3 or 4 in the afternoon, say "Nah," let's keep moving. At 8 pm, you're starting to question your previous decision. But, that's half the fun anyway.
  2. What's this all about? Easy. Hog Wally caught nice fish, as usual. Posted pictures. Check. Well deserved accolades ensued , with good natured back slapping and bonhomie. Snoop joined the good times with apparently a lot on his mind. Some hackles were raised, but, no big whup, and, as usual, the original post was unceremoniously pushed aside to give you what WE want to discuss. Namely, competition, homosexuality and apologies. Like a soap opera, but without good looking men and coiffed hair.
  3. Are those actual photos from AA? What next, 80 degree temps in February? Nice fish. Fat fish looks like. Why? What are they eating? We caught fish a month ago and they were fat. Just wondering.
  4. Ooof! Good zinger. But it's still Kansas.
  5. Stop ✋ with the homophobia. It's insulting and demeaning and close minded. I speak from experience as one who couldn't leave his brothers behind. It was just the way I was reared. Its all good ?. We don't say anything about what your wives look like. But we could.
  6. A little bit too much Porter wishful thinking.
  7. I guess it's about as good as we can expect, given present circumstances and recent history. Once again, though, we are "rebuilding." Tired of that phase. Ready to be built.
  8. "All good though." "Personally, I'm happy.,," "...but what do I care?" "I totally understand." "...make these guys use their brain..." "I mean it's really not a big deal..." "The angling advise doesn't as much bother me..." "Honestly, though I get it." "I don't care...honestly I don't." For someone who doesn't care, Mr Snoop doth protest too much.
  9. Just splendid. I love ❤️ the fact that you go fishing and catch fish. We'll type and argue about nothing. Those who ?, catch fish. Simple as that.
  10. I don't know you shawncuz. I don't know how you fish or how often or your financial situation or anything for that matter. You asked a question about inexpensive waders. It was answered. Tell your wife you're spending $600 on waders because they'll last .
  11. No. Don't buy Simms out of the gate. One doesn't buy a new Mercedes right after getting a job. Stay within your budget, buy value, which is Bass Pro or Cabelas. Also, like a lot of products, sometimes the hype doesn't justify the exorbitant jump in price. It's not an "investment." It's an expense that only you get value.
  12. What happened to shawncuz? It was his question.
  13. Obviously, stream spotted bass are a desirable sport fish to pursue in our Ozark waters. Pictures of lunker spots prove that. The fact that there isn't a separate sub forum for this beloved fish baffles me. I'm sure some of you would gladly champion the desirability in pursuing this scrappy stream member.
  14. I'm tired of effort and good kids. I don't beam with Missourily pride with the special relationships a personable coach has with players. I want wins and tournament appearances. My Billikens seem to be on the right track, with an aggressive recruiter of a coach . Mizzou needs to step up. They have the money.
  15. 1. Crean is overated. Has done nothing in talent rich Indiana. 2. Frank Martin? A lot of emotions, but no titles. 3. Cuonzo? Public relations. 4. Marshall? No chance. 5. Which leaves coaches who've been dismissed, or.. 6. Maybe a successful smaller D1 coach ready to make a move "up." 7. Don't want an assistant coach for some reason, regardless of pedigree. 8. Honestly, I have no idea who would take this mess.
  16. Plus, one can't go catch smallies within a short drive of trout waters in Colorado or New Mexico, like we can here. Setting is important for trout fly fishermen, I know. "Nobody puts (the Ozarks) in a corner!"
  17. Look how many bass pros make money not using what you (we) recommend.

    What's Cooking?

(ahem) If you want to catch a lunker like me, Mr Outlet, you must do better than that paltry offering.

Oh. A bait caster. More manly. Yes. Like the Village People are masculine with their mustaches and hard hats and tool belts. Yes. Bait casters. And I have a pickup truck. Eat steak. Love the past. Times was simpler then. People knew their place. Yeah. Bait casters are for MEN.

They did! I used panko rice crumbs. BUT. Beware. Not all products touting "panko" are rice. Many, unfortunately, are wheat products. Panko, is a RICE product.

    Favorite Movies

Yes. It took Sergio Leone, an Italian director, to define Clint, as an American Western icon.
  23. Timing. And. How about this. I caught a nice fish on a jerk bait at a certain spot while we were stationary with feet in the water. Then my friend decided to put his fluke down and cast his lure in the water where I did. And he caught that fish in the first picture. On a black and gold F11 that he jerked across. Goes to show.

Gotta start sometime. Water a little chilly, but good. Nothing great, but, its FEBRUARY.
  25. My friend had a better day than me, apparently. I did OK, but not picture worthy. We caught a number of others too, healthy, fat, strong. Not too many dinks. A good day.
