  2. BRAVO SAM BRAVO!!! I TOO CLEANED THE BOAT OUT GOT FRESH GAS AND OIL IN HER ONLY TO FIND CARB ISSUES. AFTER 4 HOURS OF CUSSING AND WRENCHING ON IT I FIND IT WAS ONLY A CRACKED SUPPLY LINE FROM THE FUEL TANK. ARGHHHH. NO SINCE IN LAUNCHING AFTER THAT BECAUSE IT WAS 5:15 AND STARTING TO GET DARK. I DID NOTICE VERY FEW BOATS AT THE RIVER RUN RAMP SO I THINK ONLY A FEW OF US GOT SNOOKERED ON THIS ONE. GAME ON DUCKY GAME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Still???? I haven't caught any up there in about a week....................
  4. Yes it is at the end of Blunk Rd. You can fish from the bank there. If you have waders I would suggest them not knowing what the water level is there right now as I have not been over there this spring yet. But they are not necessary to fish there. I have heard the fishing is HOT there right now!!!!!!
  5. Haven't heard any reports of spoonbill being caught. I am starting to wonder if I am gonna have to make a trip over to the James and see for myself??????? Anyone???
  6. Ramps are clean come down and show us where the fish are.
  7. Yes. It was about 30 yards upstream of the mouth of Swan Creek.
  8. Yeah they got it last Monday I think it was. I was surprised at how little damage there was on it.
  9. On Thursday there was one rock sticking up out of water about 6 inches in about the middle of the rock pile. BE CAREFUL there are others lurking just below surface hungry for your lower unit!!!!
  10. Charley's has a great breakfast Biscuits and Gravy so big u won't even be able to get in the boat after breakfast!!!!
  11. Gates are open as of Thursday afternoon.
  12. All gates were open yesterday afternoon. I launched from the ramp there went up to dam not a single bite but was very windy and didn't stay long.
  13. I caught 11 big females on monday night and they were all full of eggs looked like they were real close to spawning.
  14. The whites are moving in there right before dark. I saw a bunch of fish caught but I don't think anyone was limiting out. We caught 12 between two of us in about 2 hrs. I think it is only gonna get better.......
  15. Beaver is clear as of this evening
  16. I am waiting to get WORD on the spoonbill sightings. Wondering of it is even worth heading over toward Cape Fair yet or not?
  17. WELL we fished most of the day saturday and came up with nothing. I saw lots of boats out braving the wind and waves, but only one that had caught any whites and they said they were all caught below K dock. No other details. So maybe a few more rains and warmer weather will send them upstream?
  18. Ok guys it is one year to the day since the first sightings of white bass in Beaver Creek last year. With the warmer weather the last few days I am thinking they might start to turn on. Anyone heard of any being caught yet? Well I will be at the boat ramp at dawn to see for myself. Hope everyone gets out and enjoys the nicer weather.
  19. One of my fishing buddies that fishes alot for stripers says he thinks a lot die from the stress of a 20 to 30 minute battle with the fisherman. I also read the same thing on another site that was talking about catch and release on that big of fish often results in the fishes death. I dont know?
  20. They have been running water every night for the last week or so,from about 6 pm till 9pm sometimes later. They had 2 generators running last night and water was still on when I left at 11pm.
  21. Well it looks like the stripers are making there way back up to Powersite dam. I caught this one tonight right at dark. This one went just over 37 lbs. I have been hearing about a few of them being caught in the last week or so but this is the first one I actually seen. It was the only bite I had all night and not another fish caught around me. THINGS THAT MAKE YA GO HUH????????????
  22. I have killed 2 bearded hens. And seen many more, almost every year I see at least one in the flock.
  23. We got kinda excited and dropped it in the boat on top of a box of nightcrawlers. It's just dirt and a piece of styrofoam from the box, LOL.
  24. I have decided not to sell right now. Could Phil or someone please delete this. Thanks Dave.
  25. Thanks guys. It was about 200 yards up fro,m the mouth of beaver along the bluff side. It was spawned out it would have surely weighed alot more a few weeks ago.
