  1. Hey Bill, I talked to you at cow creek ramp Saturday morning, we were getting ready to fish a little jackpot. We ended up catching 18.40lbs, with a 6.44 and 5lbr, end up with 11 keepers, great day for the jerkbait. It was really good seeing you and talking to you again. Rod
  2. this wasn't my personal best but I posted this back in 2011, my buddy caught this spotted bass in 2011 on jerkbait, weighed 7.26lbs. I doctored the photo a bit give him more of a natural state Arkansas boy look
  3. I fished AiA as well this past weekend. We probably caught 40 fish, 15 keepers, all on the Arig except for 1 on a jerkbait. I threw crawler and jerkbait half of the day while my partner kept the Arig in his hand. We definitely had to be on the right kind of banks for the Arig, you couldn't just go down any bank and catch fish. We fished the Campbell point/ shell knob area. We ended up weighing 14.54 and took 30th place, we never had a bite bigger than 3lbs, needed a kicker. We knew we probably wouldn't be in the money with 14lbs, but 30th place? WOW! the rock really showed off this weekend. Great weekend, great fishing, and congrats to the teams that finished at the top, it was a tough field.
  4. Does anyone know if you can launch at baxter or hwy H. Also is it dirty dirty in that area, ot just stained?
  5. thanks for the info guys.
  6. Does anyone know if you can launch at Mill Creek or not?
  7. I was with TJ. It was an awesome day. We probably had 60-70 other blow ups we missed or they missed the bait. None of these were schooling fish either, all just running bank. Surprised we never saw any schoolies, but it rained almost all day day, not heavy but enough to keep them from schooln. I also got video of a snake with about a 6-8 inch waterdog in its mouth, swimming with it and trying to kill it up on the rocks, pretty cool. water temp was 68-70. Only saw one other boat on the water all day.
  8. thanks stump
  9. Anyone know if any of the weekly night tournaments have started on Beaver, any details on them?
  10. I agree with you 100%. I too have had some issues with online ordering but nothing too bad, just kinda frustrating things in the past but I still love the selection and love going to the store when I get a chance. Everybody is very friendly when you go there, very good experiences. I too support both bp and local shops, love em all, they all feed my fishing needs. Things get blown out of proportion on this site, but when certain people do it, people take it as gospel. Same folks will have a thread going on FLW and how bad that organization is and how rude the fisherman are...blahblahblah, they too overlook the good economic value that they bring to this area and every lake they go to or every city a bp goes into. Everyone has opportunities to improve, we have to build on these not tear em down at every given opportunity.....SkeeterP out.
  11. How many people you got registered so far ?
  12. Hey Darrin I'll try and give you a call tonight.
  13. sorry, no trades, just cash, looking go get something newer when I can afford it.
  14. Motor is shot, or at least one cylinder is. I blew the motor last spring and was going to get it rebuilt so I held onto it, but I'm just going to sell it as is and get something newer later. The boat will still start and run or would the last time it tried. I believe it probably needs new power head or to get the cylinder/s resleeved, not sure. The carpet needs replaced, I've attached picture of the carpet coming up on the front deck, it looks worse now than in the pic that was taken over a year ago. The boat has a Motor Guide 109lb thrust motor, 4 batteries, 3 bank charger, Garmin fish finder, Skeeter life jackets, wheels, tires, trailer all in good shape. Would be a great boat if you have an outboad to put on a hull or if you want to go with the rebuild option. Boat hull, trailer, and accessories are easily worth $4300. pics are attached, $4300..OBO
  15. nitro nick and I fished Saturday morning from 4:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. we only caught 3 before daylight on a tube on bluffs. We caught another 51 on topwater. Had a few on buzzbait right at daylight all the rest on spook jr. and chug bug. We caught about 20 on tw beating the bank and then they started schooling out in the middle. We were fishing between Owl Creek and Eagle Rock. We only had 6 keepers all off the bank, not schooling. Biggest was about a 17inch spot. All spots and large mouth, no smallies, and also had 1 white.
  16. i had to doctor the photo a little bit with the missing toof, he's an arkansas boy.
  17. here's a picture of the fish. Also, she was released back into the lake.
  18. buddy of mine caught a 7.26lb spotted bass yesterday. Weighed it over at Big M Marina. State record is 7lb 8oz, so it was only a few ounces shy. Believe he caught it on a jerkbait.
  19. Also thought I would give you guys a heads up that www.basstackledepot.com/ is having a 72 hour 20% off sale. Its the first time I have checked out their site and I was surprised at the selection of tackle. There are some good deals to be had there. And no I have no affiliation with their site just thought i could save some of you guys some $ wanting to gear up for spring. -Brett Thanks for the tip on the 20% off sale. good price on the Berkley 100% flourocarbon lines in the 8lb and 10lb sizes.
  20. I've used them. It was new years eve on TR. I like them a lot. Gets a little deeper. Thats what we caught most of our fish on, but that's what we mostly threw because i hadn't thrown them before and wanted to see how I liked them. We used the norman flake and blue bandit and clear chartreuse. Caught fish on all colors.
  21. whew, how do we get drama and fishing in the same thread. Hey, T I dont doubt you one bit, no reason to, its a fishing report nothing more or less. I would compare it to my partner and I fishing a topwater bait much more than most people because we have a lot of confidence in it. We'll read reports that the topwater bite isnt really on and we'll go catch 20 fish on it because we throw it all day. SB is your confidence bait and you probably stick with it a lot more than most folks and catch a lot of fish on it. Me and and my partner are thinking about fishing the winter series this Saturday. We haven't fished one this year yet. We fished the last couple of years, and like denjac said, there are a lot of good sticks in the winter series, very hard to finish high, usually we just donate. We had a 19lb bag last year and only got 3rd place. We're in a maroon skeeter or white/red nitro if you see us, come over and introduce yourself.
  22. went on 10/30. started in neosho arm, we had a couple on chug bug then nothing, water was 61-62, went downlake to 67 degree water, caught em pretty good on spinnerbait, 2 4lbrs, had a little jackpot and we weighed 13.?? for 2nd place. I bet the spinner bait bite is even better now with the water cooling.
  23. went out Sunday morning and yesterday morning. I have'nt seen anything. I fished from Rocky Branch to Cliftys...I can't believe they are busting up shad in the mornings yet.
  24. went Friday morning. Stripers still not on top at all. I beat the bank and caught some good topwater fish till about 10:00 a.m. I fished Rambo area.
