Looks like interference from another sonar unit that is running the same ( or very close to the same ) frequency .....depending on the power of the other sonar unit and the sensitivity of your unit, it could be a half a mile (or better) away from you and your unit.... The picture show the interference starting to repeat, only starting deeper , which shows a time difference of the signal being out of sync reaching your unit...

When I had my "bass-boat" I used a couple of short 2x4's to lock the trolling motor straight forward and used the big motor to steer(?) the boat ... Caught a boat load of strippers doing it that way..

Mount the unit on your boat .. read thru the manual ( don't try to understand it all ) mark the pages of what you want to learn first ... take the manual with you to the lake and run thru what the book says to get the pictures you want and in less than an hour you will able to find fish and (if GPS) find where you are on the lake... I bought a new HDS7 about 6 weeks ago and was seeing most of what I wanted with in an hour... 99% of people don't use (need) EVERYTHING these new units will do ...........

This morning (Fri)... was our slowest 2-crappie,2-bass, 2-walleye.... The sun came out BRIGHT & early ,,After the sun came out we stayed almost two hours with out a strike....

Pictures from the total trip Wed pm til Fri 9am... We only fished 5-8 pm and 6-9 am each day... Total for trip 4-bass, 12-walleye, and 34 crappie.... If the trolling motor had of been stronger - I could of had some VENISON also !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fished midlake mainlake points.last evening... 3 keeper waleye, 11 keeper crappie.. 6_8pm.. Fished 6_9 this morning... 7 keeper waleye and throw back 9 keeper crappie.,.. Pictures to follow!!!!
