I'm not sure how you travel to the lake but.... Lakey's opens 30 minutes before sunrise... If you are coming up 215 they are just before the intersection of 123 (to Aldrich) and 215 (turns to the west)...[ where the old "masterbaiter" bait shop is ] Their # is 694-8012.....

I just got this from my brother and I think it will help me decide which end of the lake to start a fishing trip........ http://hint.fm/wind/ Click on the map and it will zoom into the mouse pointer.... Plus there is a gallery of the past 6-9 days....The first one is a projected map for the next data......

The Country Depot # is 995-2811.. They open a 7am.. If you want to hit the water at sunrize you will need to come back at 7am......

Beagle man is spot on as for a "TRUE" fishing store... They carry the tackle that THEY and their customers use on "local' lakes.....

Put me down as a Boater.. I will fish for all ( except GAR & CARP ) -- prefer BASS '99 Ranger Fisherman ( AKA Walleye boat ).. With my normal fishing pardoners; execpt we lost the dog, last year, after 13.5 years.....and the wife don't do tournaments..

Yesterday, I got on the water at 0540hrs and caught the first bass at 0544hrs... Fished till 1100hrs but, didn't have a strike after 0845hrs... caught 21 bass, one catfish, and one walleye.. caught the catfish and walleye on a small crankbait - 2 bass on a plastic crawdad, 2 bass on a jerkbait and 17bass on "DA-SPOOK" !!!!!!!! After the sun hit the water I worked the shade until it was gone and so was the bite... 16 of the bass were 15-17" and all are still swiming in stockton.....

I finially got a "Hot Spot" map of Beaver... Thanks for the suggestion !!!!! The only other question I have is "how do you fish HORN & FORDS creeks/coves ??? Five years ago, I tried pulling a shad ( under a ballon ) about 12-15 foot deep and got hung up in trees about every 3-4 boat lengths..... Thanks again for the information !!!!!!

I have attached a map of a couple of county roads that should help ... You will turn off of 215 where it changes to "Y" and go south on 185(?) ... I can send a bigger map but it won't show the road numbers.... PM me if you want a different map...... You could also go north on "CC" off of 160....

I will be at Lost Bridge North next tues-fri.. The wife is going into Eureka Springs for ???? and I will be trying to find some stripers in the area.. I was there a couple of years ago and only caught 2 in four days. One around point 1 and 1 just out side of Lost Bridge South..... The Cliffies are a LONG run for my small boat.... I try to get out dawn and dusk for the topwater bite and drag a "bait store" shinner around in the day time; but mostly I drown the shinners (LOL)..... I am open to any sugestions of areas or technices..

I agree with Straw hat but.... Remember the 2 rules of Crappie fishing (when they are not spawning).... 1. Minnows like WOOD 2. Crappie like minnows These rules have always worked for me, when I have to catch crappie........

Striper Tourneys should be C&B {catch and bbq) I fished a few back in cali that were that way back in the 80's and 90's That sounds like a great "tournament" scenario !!!!!!!!!!!! Wish they were doing that when I was catching them in the Sacramento river, in the 60's.......
