  1. My Xi-5 is only a 24v but it will pull my 19'/2040lbs walleye boat at 2.7mph and with the cruse control on it will maintain 2-2.1 in to a good head wind.. I have been out up to 9 hours and (guess-t-ment) still had 85-90% of full power... If it had the contour tracking - you would have it all... I have saved 5 different track at contours that work for me and it is nice to just push # 2 and it re-tracks the route....
  2. I was wanting to know why he went with the Minnkota and not the Motor guide Xi-5 ???
  3. Nice report .. about what time did you move to the 8-10 FOW ? I have had to fish mid day this week and all of my fish came in the deeper water..
  4. PM sent.......
  5. yep...........
  6. I took the neighbor to stockton today and he is one happy old man....... only 3 fish over 12" but, again didn't have to measure any; except for the 10" walleye.......

  11. good job..... This site has a "gold mine" of useful fishing info......
  12. Power pole makes "drift paddles"...... ********Not only is the Power-Pole an awesome shallow water anchoring system perfect for keeping you in place for shallow water pitching and casting presentations, but since they introduced the Drift Paddle last year, the applications to walleye fishing increased significantly.******* http://www.thenextbite.tv/real-deal-tips/power-pole-boat-control
  13. I have never used the ramp but, I have boated past it a couple of 100 times and all that I could see, out of the water, was gravel....
  14. Ramp is on sons creek between greaser creek and 39 ramp...
  15. I caught a 10lb striper 7 years ago, while fishing for largemouth, on a brown/red/black pig and jig... I thought maybe he hit it because of the way I way working it. Not because it looked like food...
  16. This should help.....
  17. I used a "fog light" relay and wired it to an empty switch on the console for on/off at the console...
  18. What I have done for about 10 years ( till I could aford a Xi-5 ), was -- Lock the trolling motor in the "straight" ahead position (see pics) and tilt the big motor up to where the prop was just out of the water and the scad was in the water.. ( you will need to "play" with this till you are steering the way you want and not slowing your speed.) Then I turned on the trolling motor and steered with the big motor... You can't make any "quick" turns but it has allow me to troll from the console..... All you need is an "L" bracket and a bolt and a drill and you are trolling from the console...... The good thing is slide the bracket out and you are back in the foot control mode.....
  19. I stopped in there last fall and was (as you) TOTALLY impressed.. Clean, well laid out, good inventory, very very friendly and the breakfast they were cooking smelled GOOD ...
  20. Interesting picture... beer bottle on the trailer frame and a drill in the floor of the boat ????? The wide build should help with the "Queen Mary" waves on Beaver......
  21. This should help....
  22. aarchdale has got it right !!!! I have been fishing for over 60 years and the combo he described is the best for trolling I have found.. Personally I use the newer PowerPro 15/4 with the Suffix flouro leader.... If I am trolling something that tends to roll/twist , I will use a small high quality ball bearing swivel to join the lines....
  23. Looks like a meal fit for a KING......
  24. It ti's a blessing to live in the OZARKS !!!!!!!
  25. The main thing ( I think ) that most don't know is you HAVE to to click on the "More Reply Options" to get the option to "Attach Files" Hope this will help with most questions...
