Would a over heated compressor overheat and then act normal?

Wrench It has never had occurred before and I have run the same prop since I repowered. With the amount of debris in the water could one of the vent hole got plugged up? I guess I will never know the answer to that question.
-
would the issue happen then go away?

Wrench I was down for a day and a half last Friday and sat morning. late Friday my for a brief period boat would not come out of the hole. I thought I had a coil go bad but it did not sound like it(I had one go bad about 2 years ago) it was almost like my vent plugs were clogged and the prop wouldn't spin over 2200 rpm. I figured my trip was done I was able to idle from buck creek to alhonna with out getting in the way of the boats that were out in the main channel. I figured I would try one more time and this time it slowly got on plane and cleared out and ran like it is suppose to. I ran back and forth in workman about five times and it was like nothing happened, the motor never kicked any codes and after it cleared out it jumped on plane with no issues. Have you ever heard of anything like this. motor is a 2009 merchant optimal and a 98 champ 203. I run a 26 tempest thanks for any help.

Jun 2 and 3 Got to the lake at 8:30 last Friday and was amazed at all the floating debris around the 8 mm ran up lake a little hitting main lake points and a couple big secondary points with moving baits sq bill, bladed jig and a topwater not much love for me early on those. Switched to the big worm and a jig on bluff end points finally started to pick some fish up got a little bumpy after 1pm made it challenging, ended friday with two good flurries on two bluff end points all on the big worm fish were in 8-12' caught 5 in a row at one point. Ended the day day catching 20 but only 4 keepers all on main lake bluff end stuff. Sat morning heavy fog kept me in a cove till I could see better. Always amazed hearing boats run in the soup, crazy that guys rely on GPS to navigate in heavy fog. Hit 3 points that had fish on them the evening before they were still there and biting! had 6 keeps all 3-3.5 lbs by 10 am off the water and on the trailer at 11am, big worm did all the damage bluff end stuff was my deal. Was getting bumpy around 10:30. Have a great summer LOZ see ya late September.

Ohio'ans Fishing Lake of the Ozarks for the First Time
bjovan replied to BoroBuckeye's topic in Lake of the Ozarks
I am gonna second what WW said, the spawn will be mostly over but there are always stragglers. I would focus on main lake bluff end stuff and big secondaries with a big worm, jig, dd 22 and a swim bait. brush in those locations will be a plus. With the water moving through the lake there should be some current to position those fish. Topwater early and if there are clouds, if you want to flip docks there are always fish on them the water clarity or lack of might keep some fish in shallow brush longer. Hope you guys have a blast. If you are there on a weekend it will get bumpy with big boat traffic but early you will be good. Good luck. -
i know the lake is dropping. The only info I can ever find is from south fork resorts website.

Just a little weekend report from this fishin Hack. Got down Friday around 9:30 the lake around the 10 mm it was dirty, not chocolate but dirty idled to a splitter point and had a good keeper on a buzzbait in 10 min, great start. figured I would go see were the water changed and ran down lake the dirty water kind of stopped and turned to stained water at the mouth of the gravios, i fished from basically 6 mile cove to the 2mm that day doing what I would call springtime junk fishing, I fished pockets and secondary points in the bigger creeks had a good day with 10 keepers 2 on a wacky rigged senko, 4 on a beaver bait, 4 on the buzz bait. had 2 fish over 4 on the buzzer, a 3.5 on the beaver, the others were keepers 15-16 inch fish. Sat my buddy was going to meet me so I fished from the 8mm to the 12mm and struggled, started off good catching 5 shorts on the buzzer early and then the rest of the day was tough for me, I was getting the bites but my execution was awful. We ended the day with 5 keepers for no weight caught most our fish on a shakey head worm, jig and a beaver. Oh the lake was bumpy on sat! harbor hop and sunny weather equals summertime conditions!! Sunday we figure we would run towards the darn and the morning bite was good fished channel banks with a beaver and a jig mostly had a 5 keepers by 9 am ended the day at 1:30 with 7 keepers total. 4 on a beaver 2 on a jig 1 on a buzzer, one good fish one a beaver was over 3, but nothing really big. Great weekend on the water got to fish with a buddy who just moved back from FLA for the first time in a bunch of years. Lots of stuff in the water so keep a eye out everyone!

yes sir Steve, not sure how the water looks but it has to be cleaner than the red oak area. find out tomorrow.
-
I was going to be at Red Oak but switched to a place around the 10mm hoping for cleaner water and less floaters.
-
As of now I am coming down tomorrow, My guess is a blade and Sq bill in the cleanest water i can find follow those up with a big jig or beaver bait and a buzz bait for good measure. With you staying at Kon Tiki and having limited running capabilities i would look in the backs of the bigger creeks near you and Linn creek with the gates open some of the back ends of creeks will clean up some. Good luck stay safe watch for floaters when running.

Stay safe down there everyone

Thats not what I said!! Spell check

darn!!!

Awesome, I bet its a blast with the fly rod!1

I'm sure they consider putting mounds of brush on what was once prime smallmouth habitat management.

Nice Steve! You are the 8th person I know who cashed a check, one of my buddies cashed both days. Anyone know how many entries they had?
