  1. nice
  2. I think they are gonna eat in a big way at least half a day on Sat, after that they will have helmets on from getting hit in the head. Look for dock skippers to do well and fish deeper later pressure is gonna move them out some.
  3. Steve I'm sitting this one out, Good luck to you and your crew! I'll txt you after to get a report. Hope you get in the check line man.
  4. Good luck to all in the BBB, Stay safe. Remember there will me may out that would not typically be out so use extra precaution. You only need one bite so keep you head in the game and remember hook sets are free. Good luck
  5. I am trying to stay away, but might get sucked in last second.
  6. Was up at the 8 mm with the KC and STL family. Bass bite was good, crappie were spotty for me cleaned 20 all over 10". Bass fished mostly the 9mm to the gravios, bass were caught in all manners from flipping docks with plastics to a spook and buzz bait fished a few hours each day had about 20 keeper bass nothing over 4 lbs. beds in mosts coves and lots of cruisers but never really saw a a big one set up. Crappie were spotty for me 3 hear 3 there (I am not one to work hard at crappie) ended with 20 good ones in the freezer. Fun weekend of boat rides fishing with guys that don't fish much and drinking a couple of beers great weekend.
  7. the BASS release boat dumped them just outside PB2 they did not go 2 miles much less 10
  8. ill be down thursday, cant wait!
  9. Had a report from a friend that live near the Glaize that the crappie are going.
  10. Wrench Thanks again for the info. He is going to buy a rebuilt powerhead from merc I believe.
  11. i throw it with a A rig and the plopper. you have to use a softer tip rod with the plopper so the hooks dont pull out imo.
  12. Even if they let it stay a little over 555, but it looks like its on the way down.
  13. I will tell him. If you get a line on a 175 let me know, his boat is not rated for a 200. Been chasing the green fish? I'm headed up Friday afternoon hoping to get the string stretched. Has the rain added any color? I see its on the way up some hope they let it come up.
  14. Thanks for the reply. I will let him know.
  15. A buddy of mine blew his 00 Merc efi 175 over the weekend. He said he has a hole in the block about the size of a 1/2 dollar. He spoke with a guy that says he can weld the hole and sleeve the cylinder (which will take all the combustion pressure) and rebuild with a 1 year warranty. Is this even a possibility? If it is a possibility is it wise? The other question would you have a line on any Merc EFI 175 power heads or a 175 motor? let me know, if you do I will send him your way. Thank you Bill Jovanovic
  16. I also am a bassing bob member and for the 45 bucks a year I think it is worth it. I also think that the momentum on this page is encouraging with fish reports. I spend most my time at LOZ and Table Rock and in the past the info you would get from the table rock forum was hands down the best. It always helped giving me a head start when i made a trip down there. It is good to see some of that happening on this page a little info is always a good thing. As far as Bassing Bob sure he started a business with his website but he does a ton for the derby fisherman at LOZ and area businesses.
  17. Just a reintroduction. I always am lookin at the LOZ and Table Rock forums, Figured i should get more active. Hope to see some of you on the H20. Good Fishin Bill

  19. Wrench Thanks for putting your info up. I saved it in my phone (just in case) always good to have someone who know their stuff if you have issues at the lake.
  20. That like bayou meto on opening morning of duck season
  21. Great pics!!!
  22. While I don't keep keeper bass, if a guy wants to eat a few it's not going to hurt in my opinion. Mdc has length and creel limits for such a reason. Would everyone be making such a fuss if he had not said they still had eggs? Not sure. If you are gonna keep them please don't keep any over 3lbs. Table rock grows big gills that are one of my favorites for the hot grease release. Hope everyone enjoys the lake and stay safe I about got toss out of the champion by a wake boat last Sunday

    REALLY?

I was up there may 10 figured I would smash the crappie but nada, switched to the green fish had 7 keepers on a beaver and sq bill bite. Nothing big best 5 would go 13.5.caught 15 total for the day.Fished Indian and pigeon roost areas, water looked great for twain. Have not been back plan on going up in a couple weeks after I finish my paver patio.
  24. I was down, Sunday mon and till noon on Tuesday. Ran up the James on Sunday to piney it a couple points headed up. Figured the water would have enough color to smash them in the bushes on a flipping bait, buzzer or a blade(had some wind) I could catch some but not the beat down I had geared myself up for (need to manage expectations a little better) caught 12 or so with 3 keeps. Then I would bounce back and fourth from the bushes to 15-20 feet with a FB jig and shakey head (alway kept thinking I should be doing something else, not good for me) I hit some flat points heading back down to the KC area and hit one point with some chasers and had some fun caught 5 real quick Kentuckies and largemouth plus a white. So ended the day with 20 had 6 keeps. Monday I was out by 5:45 for a couple hours stayed in fisher then I had to work in Springfield caught 5 on top and missed a couple more blow ups, was running back to harpers valley at 8:30 and got a nice view of a 4lb jaw chasing, he came all the way out of the water, awesome sight. Back on the lake in the afternoon 4:45 threw the Ned and head when the sun was up caught 7 more with 3 keepers biggest was a 3.5 large not sure how he didn't break me off it ran me down some cables but never went under lucky. Tried to fish for a top water bite in the eve but nada. Tuesday tried to force a top water and blade on them had 7 but figure I should have had more missed three great blow ups one was a 4 plus out of a deep tree, came up 10' from the boat would have love to catch him but that's the breaks. All in all a good trip but really was hoping to smash them as always. It's always fun to try to learn the lake. Till next time
  25. Speaking of bass eating gills. Last year I was chasing gills with my wife in the mill creek area, twice in one morning I had bigguns grab a small gill I was reeling in. Never got them in the boat, both fish were 5 or better, had both near the surface then they let go. Awesome sight to say the least.
