Love the rock this time of year, stayed at Lakeside people could not be nicer! Quick recap
28 got unpacked and launched the boat on the water around 3:30 never left the cove, best day for size had a 3.5 and a 4 lb largemouth all spawned out and my wife caught a 17 3/4" smallie on her first cast
Plus a bunch of spots, most fish were headed out and relating in secondary points and docks on points
We caught 25 fish the first day with 9 of those being keepers. My wife drug a split shot green pumpkin worm and I caught then on the following shaky head , wobble head, ned fish were 2-15 foot deep.
May 29: best top water morning I have had fish around the cows and caught 20 or so on top mostly brown fish with a few largemouth and spots mixed in 7 keeps no thumpers just 15-17" fish. Spook and a fin did the damage only morning with a top water bite rain and wind came caught a few on a blade then started dragging the shakey head caught 10 or so more with a few more keepers broke 2 good fish off saw 1 it was a 4 lb class or better fish that ran me into a cedar
May 30: big wind in the morning did not throw the blade till late(my bad), did most my damage on the wobble head on secondary and main lake stuff around point 7 to mill creek area maybe 20 fish on the day 5 keepers
May 31:'wind and clouds in the am tried to feed them the blade did not work out for me caught 6 on it with 2 keeps looked for the bigguns in the cedars but didn't work out for me. Evening fished flat gravel main lake stuff and got right with the smallies for a bit with a c rig and a senko had 7 fish with 4 keeps
