Joe,
The HDS unit is spliced in on my console to the main power wire coming in off the battery. The big difference in what I get on "normal" settings when I overlay downscan data is that instead of the background being white as it is in your photo, the background is tan. Also, when I do see target data, most of the time the downscan data overpowers the 2D data and everything, including fish, is represented by the tan downscan data. I can remedy this by turning down my sensitivity settings on the 2D, but I don't neccessarily want to do this. What happens is I start only picking fish up with the downscan, but they don't show up on the 2D and I know this is opposite of how it should be. My fish should be showing up in color and my structure should be showing up as tan.
I have a memory card in my unit, but I never think to save a screen shot. Next time I am out I will save one and send it to you.
I know I should have went to the electronics seminar in Springfield last week, but family committments had my night occupied.
Thanks again for taking the time to answer my questions.
