  1. I'm sure I've got a pocketful of grumpy comments.. But I usually keep them in check and just make silly comments, like the one above. Ya grouch. :big_silly_grin:
  2. Rock on, Bro!! I'll inform my crew... We'll (Me, Solus and TC) will be Rollin in round the same time. I've got a neat little gas grill I'll bring along.. Who's bringing condiments? Buns?
  3. Okay, I texted my vote... Now what's it gonna charge my phone?
  4. Little Hiawatha found his way back to the canoe, though uninsured it was, and started out on his adventure to find the elusive sculpin lure section of the local Bass Pro Wigwam. As his little canoe rounded the bend and the wigwam came into view little Hiawatha breathed a sigh of relief and smile the smile of a fisherman. All of the sudden...
  5. Dang Bill, you should be sending him an invoice for that info!
  6. If that were true I'd rarely catch a trout.. That twitch Gavin mentioned sounds interesting though... I'll try that with my x-rap...
  7. Well we shall await your judgement...
  8. Ooooooh Kay, then!?!?! "sport", is that what they're calling it these days?
  9. I've just gotta put this place on my camping list for this summer... Man, I need to find a rich benefactor. lol
  10. That was funny... And accurate.
  11. Noted, for posterity...
  12. I use floating rapalas in rainbow or brown with a black back and a white belly (Wally world specials, actually) 3 1/2 inch or 5 inch usually works best, the ones that dive to 5 feet or so.. I cast em as far as I can and work em back to me really slowly, twitching the line on occasion.. Other lures to suggest would be teeny craws or bitsy minnows (can you tell where I do my lure shopping?) or you can always go to the old maribou jig.. I'd suggest wading from Bennett down as far as you can safely manage.. There's an island about 250 yards downstream from the last boat ramp at Bennett Public access (below the bridge), that spot is usually covered with fish.. Especially the hole below it, it's a long deep bastard.. (I wet wade from Bennett all the way to NRO about once a year.. Still to chilly for that for me cause a little swimmin is usually involved) Or you can go down and pay the NRO guys to fish there, then wade upstream about a 1/4 mile, there's some really fishy water up there.. (they still stock the river there, I think... You can check at the park store to see when they last stocked the river)
  13. Boy I've got y'all trained, don't I? This place is more fun than an ant farm! lol Bows the part where I tell you all I sold the gun (to throw you off the scent)... BOOM BOOM BOOM!! Owwww, my foot!!!
  14. You'd better hope not.. lol But you do need to schedule a float with me.. The river is beautiful right now...
  15. Thanks again for the full responses, Gatorjet.. My questions were based sorta around the wording of some of the documents I found Shen I researched the question via google.. Like: http://www.nraila.org/statelawpdfs/MOSL.pdf So I guess I'd ask what exactly is the difference between "carrying" and "carrying concealed"...? Does it have to be sitting out on the dashboard?
  16. Since I've already stated my ignorance plainly here I'll ask you guys: 1. Did I "register" my handgun when the guy did the FBI check on me? Is there anything further I need to do to register it? 2. Does "registering it" make it "lawful to possess"? 3. Until I get my CCW, am I legal to put the pistol in the glovebox?
  17. Any ideer what it's worth to ya?
  18. I can't imagine that you can say that with a straight face...
  19. Bass are a form of food, after all... You prejudice bastards...
  20. Some sweet looking boats, bro... Hopefully the weather will work out for us, eh?
  21. Interesting what a difference changing one letter in a word can make... Isn't that right, Jan? (hey, did you see my "I won a raffle!" thread?"
  22. That's absolutely insane! This reminds me of the time I got a ticket for beheading a fish before I left the river!!! Glad I learned that here... Cause I've had caviar and if I ever caught a paddlefish I woulda ate them eggs!
  23. Welcome back, Scudz... Nice fish pics, your son is a hell of an angler... I see your rants are a little more legible these days... Could a tiger truly change his stripes, or are you poised to go nutbag zealot gonzo at the first mention of (insert caustic topic here)...? Either way, glad to see your still down there scaring off all the ninnies around Tan Vat... KOOKOO!!!
  24. Either they were farmed or they were only keeping fish that were the exact same length?
