  1. Anybody else feel like a roud of kumbaya is in order? Come on, y'all.. Gather in a circle, hold hands.. Now everybody sing together now.....
  2. As your friend (you told me to be honest): Dude, Squirrel turds got nuttin on you!!! Wanna hit a pond this Wednesday? I'm bout tired of the park.. Had to escort a 6 year old boy from zone 2 to the spring hole to find his parents.. He was wading the outlet hole barefoot! His mamma didn't like what I had to say.. (she should be glad I wasn't in need of some cash, that lil blonde boy woulda brought mucho dinero south of the border..) I got one of two ponds in mind.. Surely we can sneak into one without getting caught..
  3. Those RR fish must be picky! When I powerbait fish the Niangua or Bennett it's for a quick limit.. I use my bass rod with spincaster and 8 lb test.. #6 hooks, a bullet sinker above a splitshot that is 3 feet from the hook.. Never seems to take more than an hour to limit out. Thanks for the report!
  4. Belittle. Replies. Waste. Duh! Yeesh (disclaimer: I joke, I joke.. I keeed, I keeeeed.. )
  5. Good point.. But what if the opinion is based upon reading numerous posts over the course of a few months.. Is it safe to make call that an educated guess, or is it still an ASSumption? Maybe we could call it an "educated ASSuption".. Would that make Solus (potentially) an "Educated butt"? (sorry, couldn't resist.. The logic is flawless) Solus, I don't blame you for asking the questions... I think you've picked up on how this forum operates.. CHEERS!
  6. Born and raised.. Did I spell it wrong?
  7. Is that lil guy on the bottom flippin' me off? lol Nice report...
  8. Naw.. Maybe "Thank God for Rapala" or something.. You think my limit would have been bigger if I was thanking a deity for it? Meh, prolly not...
  9. lol, okay, lemme try this.. 1.) You knew what she meant, didn't you? Spelling/grammar aside, Ann's point wasn't lost on you, was it? (did I use too many commas in that sentence? Sorry) 2.) I absolively positutely refuse, sir/ma'am.. I think you are smart enough to figger what I'm sayin'.. 'Sides, it's tha Ozawks Angler Forums, not the University Anglers Forum, right? I ain't gotz no spellcheque on this hear iPhone thingy and fur the life of me I dunno how to spell everything... 3.) I agree .... hole.. harted.. lee.. When you wanna go? I got a boat...
  10. What are they hittin on in the ponds right now?
  11. Solus uses the paddlefin deals, so he moves forward by walking.. Makes it much easier than the swim fins (which force you to travel backwards).. I do have my reservations about using o on a larger river, but te small waters around here should be fine..
  12. If you truly meant the second quote you wouldn't have made the first one... Well make up your mind.. Feller.. I'm having a plate full of Largemouth tonight, in your honor...
  13. If anyone would want to PM me the approximate locations of these other "alleged" cameras, I'd be glad to go down and investigate... Just cause I'm curious now, mainly.. I'm an admitted paranoid conspiracy theorist, but I do base my theory around facts whenever possible..
  14. Just take an iPod with a few games along.. Give him 10 minutes in the jumpseat with a videogame and a juicebox and he'll be ready for more action! (short attention spans, those lil uns) looks like it was a fantastic day, cool...
  15. Yeah, I had a decent day too.. Haunted the dam area above and below and finished with 44 to hand and quite a few LDR's.. Nothing that big, but man they were fighting hard yesterday.. But considering the stocking that morning (1300 trout) one would hope we could get a few to hit a lure..
  16. if you can make it a Wednesday sometime in te next few months I can take you on the Niangua and show you what it has for SM these days...
  17. So what's the story? A school of pirhanna could live in the Tonka spring year round, right? (according to the show)
  18. Now I finally know what DD'sMC stands for! Didn't know y'all wuz frenchanese though...
  19. Any gas station within 2 miles of water will have them for sale.. Also any Wal-Mart..
  20. As of this morning, according to secondhand reports from my powerbait fishing local friends, the river is up quite a bit and is still pretty muddy.. They did limit out though.. Spring is flowing but is still pretty clear.. Good luck..
  21. I'll check my schedule, Solus... What I still find comical is the fact that, the whole time that I was backwalking my froggy self to the water, you were within 15 feet of your video camera! You're one chance to capture a rare moment (Cricket looking Silly, to be precise) and you were too busy worrying about gettin into those smallies... Oh, my total for the day was 27... My report: Solus officially knows how to fish the hatchery outlets now.. All he needs is a dry fly that mimics a food pellet.
  22. Go down to walmart and buy three packs of 16th ounce maribou jigs (three different colors).. These work great for all species on that float.. Bounce em deep in deep slow water pockets, run em under or around log jams and stick ups, work em around boulders and obstructions in swift blue pockets, etc... I like summit white with a "Pansy" pink jig head.. You can buy lil spinners to attach to them for more action (without having to work the rod tip) The trick to a jig is how you work the rod tip.. Attempt to mimic the action of an injured baitfish who is flopping through the current.. For example: you come down a riffle set and paddle your canoe into the slow spot.. Cast back upstream into the current and work the jig as it goes downstream, keeping a balance between reeling it too fast and bumping the bottom.. Only allow it to bump the bottom if it's a sandy area.. Otherwise you'll lose jigs.. Other than that, dragging any crankbaits directly up or downstream at long distaces from the boat always seems to work well for the wife... GOOD LUCK!
  23. Oh, dear lord.... (BTW, My waders don't get along with belly boats, I'll have to wait til summer to see if I like them..)
  24. 1. It was a loan (with extreme limitations and a good return to the taxpayer) that GM and Chrysler have paid back already, not a BAILOUT. 2. Statistically speaking it has been almost 10 years since Toyota's quality has been on par with the general publics perception of their quality. You might consider checking the facts on these things, you make yourself look pretty silly.. And Toyota confirmed that all of their profit and losses, all of their executive decisions, and all of their upper management (the guys who get the BIG bucks) reside in JAPAN.. Pay taxes in JAPAN. When our government (the people who are supposed to protect the interests of the population at large) sends an inquiry to Toyota, it must be translated into Japanese, and Toyota requires extra time (that domestic manufacturers aren't allowed) to discuss it and send back a reply! The point is not to dig on Toyota, who is simply another manufacturer, but to maybe shake this perception I see that they are bulletproof and the domestics are crap! (disclaimer: My first car was a Toyota, I generally like the lil things, but don't make the mistake of putting anything up on a pedestal, it only lends to seeing the world with rose colored glasses, like the above two Toyota owners.. No offense, fellas... )
  25. Missed the ones on eBay by a couple bucks, man.. I hate bid bots! lol come to think of it, I am WAAAY to competitive to be messin' with auctions...
