took the boys...caught some catfish off of shrimp under a bobber around rip rap. we also caught a couple perch and a few small bass the boys also caught a 15 pound buffalo on a bomber crankbait. the oldest boy casted it, and the youngest reeled. he then handed it off to his older brother and he grabbed the net. pretty cool deal...good fish and good fun! the water around shangri la is 86 degrees and the color of coffee with cream.

has anyone been lately? the boys are on me to take them fishing in the boat. probably too late for the bluegills, but curious if anyone is catching any fish... thanks

good that they were out...i saw one guy with 3 or 4 small brownies on a stringer down by cooper's crossing as we floated past. i asked him why he was keeping them and he said to show his kids. if an agent would have been floating by...he would have saw them too, and his kids would have really gotten a show.

it's about 8 miles...camp tilden is cyclone on the maps

we really didn't drag that much -- but the water was definitely low. I dragged at the drop, but that was about it. lots of small fish, but it seemed like the big fish were cruising, and we never caught one. our biggest smallmouth was probably 12 inches...lots and lots of fish in 8-10 range.

floated on tubes with the boys for fathers day. fishing was ok -- a couple small fish...water was discolored and frothy

water is low -- fishing was good for small fish. nothing of any size was caught. i used a fish dr on a slider head and a 3/16 oz spider jig. lots of fish -- both smallmouth and goggle-eye. nothing of any size...decent size goggle-eye

thanks, i'd take a $150 for it...has a little drag hole in the bottom by the transom. it isn't on the seam, and i think it would be an easy fix.

I've got one...come get it. it's in joplin. has a title. we just don't use it any more. i've got a picture somewhere...but can't find it. go back and search the buy and sell for a gheenoe, and you'll see a photo of the jon boat.
