  1. I have 3 Chronarch Bantam 101A's that I'd like to sell. They've been very lightly used over the years and impeccably maintained, with virtually no wear on them. I've had them upgraded to Carbontex drag washers and Abec7 bearings. They are 10 out of 10 mechanically, and 9 out of 10 cosmetically. I'll take $130 each including shipping to your door. Tnx edwin
  2. Thanks for the kind words, Champ. Rods are sold and on their way to the new owner. Thanks for the inquiries
  3. Great to hear it's being put to good use. I'm pretty certain those items have been much more productive with y'all than they ever could have been with me!
  4. Yep...one buyer looks to have snatched em up!
  5. Looks like the rods are sold...tnx for the inquiries!
  6. Both are Medium-Heavy, Fast Action. Falcon's info on them : http://falconrods.com/assets/cara-t7.pdf
  7. I had a similar issue, was the same fix as Z22 and griz mentioned. My BassCat had Y cable with a puck epoxied to the hull for depth, second transducer on the jackplate for side and down imaging. I monkey'd around with it and it was definitely the epoxied transducer in the bilge causing the issue. Removed the Y cable and ran the jackplate mounted one direct to the 997 and all good.
  8. Hi folks - I sold my fishing boat last year, give away a ton of tackle, but held on to my rods and reels. After seeing these rods hang in the basement for 18 months with no opportunity in sight to use them, it's time for them to go to a new home. I've got 8 rods to sell. All are in darn near new or new condition. Some of them haven't been used more than 3-4 times. All have been stored in a Stik Jacket to protect them. 4 St Croix Legend Tournament : cork is as-new on all of them, rods are in perfect condition. The hook keeper on jerk bait and top water rods were positioned in a way that they interfered with the line. I had them professionally removed / smoothed out. Most would never notice if I hadn't mentioned it...full disclosure here. Topwater - 6'8", Medium power, Extra-Fast Action - $150 shipped Jerkbait - 6'6", Medium power, Fast Action - $150 shipped Small Cranker - 7', Medium power, Moderate Action - $150 shipped Big Cranker - 7', Medium-Heavy power, Moderate Action - $150 shipped 2 Falcon Cara T7 rods: cork is as new, don't believe there's a mark on either of them. Cara T7 Finesse Jig split handle - 6'10", CC-5-1610S-T7, 3/16 - 5/8oz - $125 shipped Cara T7 All Around Casting - 6'6", CC-5-166MH-T7 - $135 shipped 2 Shimano Cumara rods: don't believe there's a mark on either of them. Cumara Dropshot spinning rod - 7'2", Medium power, Extra Fast Action, CSU-DX72M - $160 shipped Cumara Medium rod - 6'8", Medium power, Fast Action, CUC-68M (perfect for thowing a splitshot rig, 3/16oz grub) - $145 shipped

    White Bass?

We were out skiing Monday morning on the James between pt 10 and the island, lots of whites boiling up. Once everyone had the sets they wanted, we high-tailed it back to the dock to grab a rod and topwater. I'm happy that I gave the Daiwa Fuego some love over the winter, as it was up to the task of casting a country mile with a short 6' rod. I know, I know...seeing someone fishing off the swim platform of the Malibu isn't what's cool here, but the wife and kids had a blast. I would cast to the boil, hand the rod over, let the others give the Sammy a couple jerks and the fight was on. Fantastic sized whites definitely straightened out a few Daichi Deathtrap hooks My wife after setting the hook Fight's almost over The reward! My youngest fighting a magnum white She was jazzed After they had enough fun, I even got to land one myself. Great time
  12. Love the thread. I've topped my TR fish at 6.1LM, 4.8SM, and a 4.1 spot...and the spot was the biggest of em all. Favorite of all was April 23, 2010. I had picked up a new boat that winter, was the first fishing trip with my girls. We roadtripped down from STL, got to the house late afternoon. They asked to fish for a bit before dinner. Time was short, so I dropped the boat lift and we fished the cove behind the house. Girls (10 and 6 at the time) we throwing single tail grubs on their Zebco Omega spincast combos. My 10 y/o sets the hook on a solid fish. Drag is screaming, fortunately she didn't lose it...3.9lb smallie. 10 y/o proceeds to talk copious amounts of sh!t to the younger sister about how the world turns. 6 y/o sets the hook just a few mins later on a 4.5lb smallie. Absolutely, without question, the best fishing day ever for me.
  13. Thanks for all the great ideas, folks. I delivered the tackle to Jerry's buddy today. I had checked into the Ft Leonard Wood MWR (morale wellness and recreation) avenue. It definitely looked like a viable option as well...clearly was the direction I was heading if it didn't work out with Jerry's reference. Thanks again, edwin
  14. Will send you some pics this evening, Ham. tnx!
  15. Of course...not It has standard guides
  16. I'd certainly consider that...I have a couple Avid rods, really like em a bunch. Any interest in a like new split grip T7 Cara 6'10" MH Finesse Jig rod...model CC-5-1610 S ?
  17. I recently sold my Bass Cat, so my rod storage becomes my locker on the dock. Well, all my rods now are 6'6" or longer...and my locker is just over 6' tall. Sooo, I'm looking to buy a couple rods to keep in the locker to toss a topwater off the dock, drag a jig / shaky head, or an occasional grub. My rods today are mostly either Falcon Cara T7's or St. Croix Legend Tournament series. Any thoughts / suggestions on similar models avail in a shorter length is greatly appreciated. tnx edwin
  18. Thanks for the info, folks. Here in STL we don't have any bass fishing teams for the school kids. I'll check with Motoman's suggestion in Kansas.
  19. I recently sold my Bass Cat, have a bunch of tackle that's going to be taking up space. Anyone know of a kids fishing group that could use some tackle? Let me know... tnx edwin
  20. Well done, Bill...what a beauty.
  21. Way to go Champ!!!
  22. Please remove ad...thanks!
  23. Giving my lack of putting prowess, those would be some really, really long pauses I've got 4 putters here in the office and I'm convinced it just doesn't matter for me...I'm going to make a few, and I'm going to miss a bunch more than that.
  24. The entire reason I was looking to sell it was lack of use. My kids are busy 5 days a week, 48 weeks a year with dance stuff...so fishing with them is pretty much a non-occurrence for the foreseeable future. After listening to the 'buying community' try to beat me up about price and condition, I've decided to keep the current rig and use it as time allows. She's paid for, and is in about as perfect condition as possible. I know it won't get many hours on it, but she's here to stay. In fact, my truck is gassed up, coolers are loaded, and I'm heading that way shortly for a long weekend on TRL. Hope to see some of you on the water this weekend! tight lines, edwin
  25. Heck, I normally go out on the water expecting to stink it up. That way anything better than a full on stinkfest makes for a great day!!! I fish solo more times than not. One thing that really helps me is listening to music when having to fish soooo slowly with the jerk bait. I find my 20 second pauses seem more like 5 minute pauses if I don't have anything to help distract me.
