early last week was mid 60s in Aunts Creek / Pt 10 / Pt 11 area

Well done, Bill! I was down earlier the week and looked all over but couldn't find any wind at all...flat calm almost the entire trip. Jerkbait fished very slow was my most productive. As you said, lots of followers and not as many takers. Had my biggest TRL bass in a long time. No scale with me, but was just under 24" long. Fun times for sure.

I've put Pro Guide's for my last two refreshes. Last batch was bought in Aug 22. Had one of the trolling batts take a dump in April 23...Ulrich checked it, traded it on the spot. The replacement batt from April 23 took a dump in Nov 23...Ulrich checked it, traded it on the spot. My only issue is that if it needed to be swapped on a Sunday, not sure who could assist. My lake trips are pretty limited so having something ready to go is worth a premium. Wallyworlds are everywhere and are open 7 days a week.

Hope you had a great birthday, Bill!

Kim City - March 8- Underspin/LM (kinda shallow)
edwin replied to Dock-in-it's topic in Table Rock Lake
Fantastic! -
Dang it was windy...took until early afternoon to see another boat. I saw quite a few schools of shad yesterday in Aunts Creek up to Hideaway, most were near the surface to 15' deep. Lots of gulls munching on em but very few bass feeding on em. Ended up catching a bakers dozen with about 1/2 being keeps. 1 LM, rest were fat spots...holding really tight to brush pile and fallen trees on steep bank / bluffs in 15-25'. Lots of chasing a jerk bait and keitech. Jerkbait caught the LM in the windy point, Damiki worked over and thru the brush for the rest.

It’s time to sell the Silver Fox. She’s a 1990 BassCat Pantera II with a 2000 Merc 200 EFI. I’ve spent a bunch of time going through it, and it’s provided me years of trouble free use. It’s got a few bumps and bruises as it’s an older boat, but overall it’s a clean ride. Happy to answer any questions. 2000 Merc 200EFI Motorguide 82lb trolling motor with new gator mount 4 months ago Fury 25p prop HB Helix 7 DI on the bow New carpet a few years ago New seats a few years ago HB Helix 5 GPS on the dash, just installed this week MinnKota 3 bank onboard charger 3 new batteries last fall Waterpump impeller, lower unit oil, plugs changed last fall Trailer has new Goodyear endurance tires with apprx 300 miles on them New hubs and bearings New winch, jack stand, and wiring I can forward high def pics if needed. Always a great showing from Dock...well done!

Thanks for all the replies. I'm gonna go with the Falcon Cara via Mr. Bill...can't wait to give it a whirl in a couple weeks.

I was down there last week just before the snow hit. Can't help ya with a post snow report, but they put so much salt on OO beforehand that it looked like it had already snowed. I'd have to bet it's in fine shape by now
-
Great info, thanks Bill. I think that Denny Dennis had some Virtus rods when I was in there the other day. Will swing by there this week and take a peek. If I don't pick one up, I'll be in touch re: a Cara.

Great info, thanks to all that shared their thoughts. Will spend some time researching tomorrow...truly appreciate the help! 👍👍

I've got the exact same Zell Rowland All Star rod...I use it for jerk baits in the cold times and it's about perfect. Will have to give it a whirl with the RC. Thank you!

Howdy folks - I'm in the market for a new rod to throw RC's, Warts, etc. I've been using a 6' medium Cameron Rod that I bought in the late 90's. They were supposedly built with Loomis blanks, bought it from the now gone Hwy 13 tackle store that was just north Sportsman's One Stop. It's been a great little rod but the cork is starting to come apart, new stuff is always fun and I'd like to keep the economy going. It's time to delegate it to dock use. If you were going to buy a new rod for the RC and wanted to keep it around or below $250, what would you suggest? Tight lines, Edwin

I can't recall the last time I read about the good ole faithful 4" grub. Great to see as it's a heck of a versatile bait...I always have one tied on. Well done (again )
