  1. Thanks Carp E Diem. I will probably try that before the weekend. Looks like lots of rain. I am hoping to also hit Stockton Sunday.
  2. Thanks for the tip. I like the submersible light idea. I know the mosquitoes are not bad right now but will be soon. I think the lantern would attract more. Do any of you think the Aldrich Bridge area and the little sac would be a good place to crappie fish right now or should I try somewhere else.
  3. There ya go men. You heard it straight from the Master. Now go fix them stick baits and catch em. Nice fish. Look like some fat females there. Bet they put up a good fight.
  4. I have not been using weights on mine. Just hook that pretty little bluegill on or a shad and let them start swimming around. I do catch lots of cats when I cut my blue gill into 3 sections(head, center part of body and tail). The hook and the cut-bait usually end up in their throat or stomach. Got to be careful cleaning those.
  5. I wish I could take off work. I don't get off work until 330pm M-F. I could call in sick Might could even get away with it. Hope you catch tons of fish. Do you guys night fish. I was thinking about it. Would a coleman latern work ok hanging above by 14'flat bottom?
  6. Hey Bill. Sounds like you are really busy with all that is going on. Sounds like you need extra help. WHERE DO WE SEND OUR RESUMES or will PIC and video of our fishing work. You should send that guy to the OAF so he can see what all you really do. We "definitely" appreciate all you do for us. Good Luck and Safe Fishing Charles E. Jackson
  7. Hey CLINTC....I got 30 Jugs tied and hooked with 2',4',6' of line on each jug. My cast net is itching to get out of its box too. And well, I got plenty of Limb line and hooks to set. I was planning on hitting that area and stockton real soon. I know some pretty good spots. We caught several pounds last year on Table ROck and Stockton I wish it was legal to set jugs on Fellows Lake. ThaT WOULD BE AWESOME. How far did you set your lines on your jugs. Charles
  8. I wonder what the penalty would be if...lets say...someone drops in the McDaniels lake with their kayak and started fishing... How long would it take for someone to get their and just how much trouble would you really get in....Not saying I would do that or anything. I guess they would probably give you a warning...just curious.
  9. Yeah Hunter nice job. You think all this rain this week will dirty up the water and stop the bite before the weekend.
  10. Looked like real nasty weather out there from here in Springfield. Atleast you were catching some. I will try tomorrow. Let ya know how I did.
  11. Thanks again guys, I really appreciate it. I am taking the wife tomorrow so i was not quite sure where to take her for some real crappie action. She gets board if she ain't catching fish.
  12. I really appreciate it. I see where you are talking about. Where would you suggest I take my wife tomorrow on Sunday for Keeper Crappie....Ruark, Greenfield, or Aldrich? Thanks, Charles
  13. Where is ROARK please?
  14. I am taking the Mrs. Jackson fishing tomorrow for Crappie. Would we have better luck putting in at Greenfield off CC.....ALDRICH BRIDGE off 215 or Taylors Bridge on the Little Sac. ........Need help with this......Any advice today would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Charles
  15. What is the correct limit on number of and size on crappie in the main lake and what is it for the little sac and the big sac? I cant find my book and I am heading out early in the morning. Thanks.
  16. That all ain't no joke. I have caught them on 6" watermelon senkos with 5/0 hooks. They get hungry just like bass.
  17. Are you catching them in the lake or the Little Sac and Big Sac area or are they biting all around the lake?
  18. Are the crappie just in the main lake or are you catching them in the Little sac or Big sac?
  19. I have not been since last week. WHITES have drastically slowed down. Dont know about the catfish. I tried to catch some yesterday at fellows. We caught our limit on BLUEGILL. I will probably head down to the James next weekend and start running jug lines and limb lines. I just hope there is some bait shad I can catch with my CAST NET. The big FREEZES on the lakes we had this year probably killed 75% of the shad from last year. Good luck and safe fishing.
  20. Seen several people catching crappie on minnows. I just took the wife to catch Bluegills with worms from our garden. We each caught are limit on Bluegill and I had one nice crappie on a worm. Most the folks I seen catching crappie were about 50' off the bank in about 10'-17' of water. Dont forget to buy your boat sticker. They are $25.00 this year and will be $35.00 next year. But one thing I can say. I think the water in Fellows is cleaner than most rivers and lakes around here. FISH EVEN TASTE BETTER.
  21. What part of the Lake were you on. Dont want to know your exact location.
  22. Thanks for the report. I know several fisherman will appreciate that.
  23. Nice hunting. So, by the looks of it you had about the same deal as we have been having on the Upper James near Taylor Shoals. Bloody eggs but just not as many fish this year. Do you think we have been catching too many WHITES BASS in the last few year?
  24. Where is this Lake Norfork? Those fish look like the Stripers I used to catch in Lake Lanier in North Georgia..Yeah jerk baits at night off the points is awesome. We used to use Rattlin Rouges. We used to catch the 40#ers plus on Shad we caught in our cast nets and use balloons for indicators while trolling. Where is this Lake Norfork Please? Charles
  25. Training day for you guys on the lake sounds more like goofing off day instead of working day or is that just what you all tell your wives. It's training day this weekend honey. Got to go to work. I told my wife what you said and she said,"yeah-right. I am sure you will have fun though. Its good to get out with your buddies every now and then. Maybe you can teach them all how to catch bass and then we can have some new members. Good luck and safe training . Charles
